While this match is still going on, we need to try and finalize our bonus match idea. I don't think we should do a FFVII/OoT match, since OoT seems like it will win pretty easily.

Besides a petition I see for a FFVII/Cloud/Link/OoT match, I also saw suggestions for these bonus match ideas:

If FF7 had its 2007 and prior day vote intact that would actually be within winning range. Back then Cloud only generally lost at most 5% between night and day.

A FFVII/OOT 1 on 1 could still be good, there's always the chance that FFX is hurting FFVII a percentage point or two more than LTTP is hurting OOT. Which is all it'd need.

So are we getting a character contest after this?

I went to No Mercy 2008, my 1st Attended PPV.

It's kind of weird when you have OoT proving Zelda's strength by beating FF7 and FFX proving FF's stength by hanging with LttP

Well, assuming you don't count something like CATS taking the Board Vote for a lead of about 4 seconds, I think we've had vote swings approaching 4000. Definitely a few over 3000, IIRC, but I no longer remember what matches were the top comebacks and vote swings. Duck Hunt/DK had a pretty big swing, but DK held. MC/Frog and many of the Starcraft matches should be up there as well. I could have answered that back in 2k6, but ever since 2k7 I've paid less and less attention to the contest.

Oh, then probably something like Link/CATS or Cloud/CATS, or any such match like that. I wouldn't be surprised if the first vote would go against someone like Link or Cloud against most characters, at which point you're talking swings in the 50,000+ vote range.
