A 4way appeared in a video game character contest would be stupid as hell. i'd much prefer no contest compared to a POS contest like that.

1v1 appeared in a video game (fictional character for short) would be pretty cool though. That would definitely get me interested, even after this contest which was quite bad.

Alright, I see I'm probably the only person here who thinks a comeback is possible for the third time in a week. Alright then, hopefully it'll go like the last 2, but without FFVII getting 11:45'd. This shall be the most glorious final in contest history! Final Fantasy VII, the fate of the site rests on you alone now!

RPGuy, what does RBY look like if you base it off what it did to GS. Using GS' value on MGS and MGS' value off OoT/FFX?

If I did all that right,
GS gets 41.1% on RBY
MGS gets 44.03% on RBY
RBY gets 39.87% on Ocarina, enough for 3rd place.

We've seen how Sephy sucks it up in four-ways. He'd find a way to lose to the Dorf, probably against some MGS villains in the finale or something.

Snake's uber-boost is really the worst thing to happen to FF7.

I don't see how a comeback is possible. There's no way FFVII starts consistently cutting until the heart of the dead zone, and even then, it won't come close to claiming the lead, and even THEN, its day vote won't magically revert to 2004 levels. This one is over and done with, looks like. And now, I just hope that most of you guys would sign my "expand Character Battle VIII to include all characters who've appeared in games" topic.

The reason it's possible is that FFVII has 44.20% on OOT right now. FFVII will fall in the day, but that will be a fall from its overnight numbers, and will still be way higher than what it's got right now. You've got to look at the amount of percentage FFVII has to swing and not which periods it will win.

Although, every update it fails to start rising, it looks more grim.

Well, maybe all fictional characters. It would be hilarious to see Madden in there as a joke entry, but I actually want to give this idea traction, and allowing every big sports figure access to the bracket probably isn't the best way to accomplish that.

At least I got the finals right (I had OoT > FF7). But thats cuz I had SMB3/FF7/OoT/FFX, and I felt that SMB3 wouldn't hurt OoT but FFX would hurt FF7 >_>

FFVII hasn't gained anything since the 10 minute mark. If it was going to improve markedly - enough to cut 1000 votes and build up another 1000 to give it a prayer of surviving Ocarina's massive day vote - it would have long since started to do so.
