It'll
favor OOT, but while FFVII and CT are essentially equals at the ASV
now, that's not the least bit true for the morning. Plus remember how
Snake lost the ASV to Crono last year in the final? Having an absurdly
strong early vote tends to dampen your day vote. This isn't over yet. Indeed - Ocarina is, very obviously, the clear favorite right now, but it's not a lock. Another
100 vote gain for OoT. If OoT wins, then I could have had 128 points on
this match if I stuck with my original pick of OoT > FFVII. But then

don't want to jump on the "old games all suck" bandwagon, but if this
is true - if FF7 really isn't on OoT's level - then you've got a lot of
craziness like, say, a PS3-exclusive like MGS4 whipping some of the
SNES and prior era classics like no tomorrow. Don't really buy that,
but I think we'll probably end up with stats that make less sense than

Seems
that the lack of content in the quality starved Wii has driven Nintendo
fanboys rabid. Honestly I'd take OoT over the waaaaaay over-rated FFVII
any day though. |

Monster update by OoT right there. OoT going up in % and FF7 going down? This is seriously incredible. I can't believe it and I was even on the OoT hype-train the whole contest. To think that LttP would be ahead of FFX and OoT could still do this... this is surprising. It's not that odd that OoT is winning, but it is
that it is winning despite FFX being lower than LttP. I figured LttP

OoT is almost as old as FFVII. And as to which game is better, that's a matter of opinion. Not what I was talking about. FF7 faced disproportionately older games, OoT faced disproportionately newer games (or games that had beaten those games). This result is, on the surface, upending a lot of pre-contest conventional wisdom. the end of this hour, FFVII might not even be as far behind OOT
percentagewise as Zelda 1 was against SMB3, or at least it will be
pretty close. You'd expect the FF series to have a better power hour
than FFVII too; there are other FF games, and they are not nearly as
