This
is proof that all the elitist Melee metagamers represent just a small
segment of the Smash fanbase. The majority of the fanbase likes the
series because its a fun game that can be casually played with tons of

though, yeah, as long as FFX ends up pretty far from Brawl, Melee >
Brawl is still alive. Melee had reason to get stomped with SFF last

think MGS1 would be in last place. I think Metal Gear is one of the
series where the popularity ages quickly. The times Snake has been the
weakest are when he is farthest from a major release. But that's just

yeah, we don't need SSBM/SSBB/RBY to become our new SM64/GE/MGS. That
said, I'm tired of giving SSBM the benefit of the doubt when it's not
turned people's heads like RBY/SSBB and we're seeing them each do
better against LoZ:OoT than SSBM anyway. Agree to disagree until we have more evidence, I guess. --- BT > Harrich lol me |

Does anything change? I can't imagine any results changing - maybe just some trivial vote margins here and there. Who really cares, though. The only concrete things we've picked up from this contest (off the top of my head) is that the gap between VII/OoT and everything else is bigger than many of us imagined, and that most games from the SNES era and older have taken a noticeable hit. These newer games are in the same boat as the new ones in 2004 - they look insanely jumbled, and we'll have to give them a few years to see how they age. think we all knew how far ahead FFVII and OoT were. I just think we
needed to see it beat down top tier games some more before it really
clicked. It was like in 2007 when Cloud was owning faces and everyone
thought he had a shot at Link. It was just because we hadn't seen Cloud
