Call it SSBB choking all you want, but when you've got a multi-platform LoZ-game to contend with too, you can't fault SSBB for this. MGS4 is so very fortunate after the GotY-polls and last round.

I'll laugh at Brawl all I want, thank you very much. I pioneered hating that POS! :D

Well the next match will be all too easy to predict, unless one of the 2 Mario games does a noble sacrifice and gives all its votes to the other mario game to try and stop Link from getting 2nd.

The LFF in this match doesn't really add up to anything sensible does it. Unless Brawl is getting rSSFed by TP or something which in itself soudns pretty dumb

yeah I was just thinking that. going off RE4, TP isn't even being hurt that much here. it's all Brawl.

Brawl looked so dominant through three matches, I thought Brawl > MGS4 was a mortal lock today. I'm so happy to see the superior game win, even if it did officially knock me out of the guru. I've never been happier about losing a contest ever. **** Brawl, **** Sakurai, **** Nintendo, and especially **** that garbage online.

And it makes me sad to say this, but Brawl's fanbase is better than Melee's. Melee anti-Brawl fanboys are rapidly becoming awful.

Also less hitstun and less depth with the recovery/offstage game. And yeah, those basically combine to make a world of difference between Brawl and Melee. Unless you see it as either a party game to play 4-ways with, or as Nintendo fanservice, but Melee is a terrible game for those purposes too.

That would be the best result...well, ever, more or less. If SMB3 suddenly pulls a Mario and wins the match, it'll crack the Top 5 (which at this point is probably FULL of Mario/Someone matches, anyway) for best matches ever. Can't see it happening, though, unless all of the Mario fanbase decides they're not going to take LttP beating the game that started 3D gaming's golden age.

You're ****ing kidding me, right? Not even the biggest of fanboy freak can defend Brawl's online (and to a lesser extent, Nintendo's online in general). The only things Brawl do well are soundtrack, graphics and roster. All three of these are wholly subjective and useless. Well maybe graphics aren't subjective.

Regardless, I've never been more disappointed by a game in my entire life. The whole thing could not have been more ****ed up if Nintendo tried making the game bad on purpose. For the record, floaty physics and less speed didn't make Smash 64 a bad game. In fact every character has a broken 0-death combo in that game, and it's still a great game. Brawl is just terribad in nearly every way there is.

LTTP currently over 59% on the higher of the 2 Mario games. LTTP/SM64/CT vindicated! (or rather, they will be if this result holds, as it's still very early).
