I'm okay with the idea of Brawl being overrated based on weak competition, but it's still looking to be an elite game. maybe it's not top 10 but it's definitely top 20.

you can make that argument about TP as well. I'd argue it's faced weaker competition actually.

I'm up to a tie for 83rd sitewide now. Perhaps I'll make the leaderboard tomorrow- I wouldn't think so, but I didn't think I'd gain 100 ranks from TP > RE4 either. If not, Zelda 1 winning should do the trick.

Yeah LoZ > SMB3 will probably get me close too.

I'm tied for 275 and this match will bring me below 200. I'll probably miss the top 50 by a little bit, but I think something as simple as FFVII > LttP will push me into it.

I'm sure we all would've had trouble taking GTAIV>Galaxy, but it happened.

Galaxy is just weak. Put HL2 in CoD4's position and it easily outperforms it.

Man, SSBB is doing very well for itself. I think I feel good about SSBB being the strongest game in its next match, and I even like LoZ:TP > MGS4 before accounting for SFF/LFF. I figure a distracted LoZ:TP will compete pretty well with MGS4 and RE4 again...but if RE4/MGS4 is anything like RE4/MGS3, I'll take LoZ:TP and not look back.

I'm trusting MGS4 being a PS3-exclusive with more hype than MGS3 will keep it separate enough from RE4 though, so I'm looking for a three-way race next time. Give me SSBB > LoZ:TP for now, just because of how well Nintendo has done in general this contest.

The game that had the FF7 demo sold a lot of copies due to it, I remember hearing back in the day.

Twilight Princess had a strong board vote as expected but dropped off into the night. The normal DSV time was when it was at its strongest, but it managed to drop off a bit during the afternoon. RE4 was pretty consistent all night and then it dropped off in the morning before gradually rising back up again the rest of the match. MGS3 had a bad board vote but a great night and early morning vote. The day vote was its undoing. Oblivion did very well for itself outside of that first hour.
