Even without MGS3, there's still a real good chance Brawl>TP happens next round. Unless red sox's theory of new Nintendo LFFing more than old Nintendo (kind of the opposite of Old Square/New Square) is true.

Brawl did 5% better on GTAIV with Galaxy in the match, so I have my doubts about that.

Second straight match where Metal Gear's horrific day vote will cost it the match. It's becoming the new Chrono Trigger of bottom feeder day votes.

MGS's day vote was always bad. It's just not been in a position where it can be exploited as often as CT's has.

I'd put Brawl slightly ahead of Melee. Melee is very strong so I don't think Brawl can be much ahead. Brawl~=Melee I'd say.

I believe that the other elite non-big two games are closer these days to FF7 and Ocarina than they were back in the day - i.e., the richest aren't as much richer than the other rich as they used to be :) I think Brawl is one of the games that could break 40% indirectly on whoever is the strongest game.

The best result here though, would have been Resident Evil 4 > Metal Gear Solid 3 .

*well, I've only played Twilight Princess out of these four games, but I think I would like playing RE4 and MGS3 more*

So it looks like RE4 is indeed the one to advance with TP, although Snake tried to match this match interesting to say the least.

Resident Evil 4's votal is going to be higher than Chrono Trigger's and potentially higher than Super Mario 64's. That makes the Biggest. Game. Ever. look like even more of a beast!

Frog only wins close matches because he goes against characters with awful night votes like Axel and Master Chief. if it's close those guys lose by default,

True. If MC didn't have an awful night vote, Frog would've never been able to make that 600 vote comeback. Axel was just blatant stuffing though. His night vote isn't bad.
