Unless Brawl 60/40s that Nintendo split or worse, it's hard to see either Metal Gear coming out of that one.

Even if MGS3 is in the quarters? We're not sure how bad the SFF would be there. Maybe I'd agree if it were MGS2, but 3 certainly isn't the bastard child of the series. It has fans. Plus, the Nintendo games just seem stronger and shouldn't overlap more than two games from the same series.

Bracket- that's really the only reason. RBY keeps me alive, the other games do not. I mean, I've treated my bracket as essentially dead since Starcraft lost in round 2, but as of RBY's victory......it's not completely dead. So I may as well root for it.

Excuse me if I call 'bullcrap' on this one. The MGS fanbase is very tight-nit and dedicated, moreso than almost any other fanbase in the contest. Even if 3 gets SFFd - which I highly doubt - we're talking about seeing RBY/GS all over again.

I can't in all good conscience say that TP is stronger than MGS3 at this point, at least by any notable margin. MGS4 should be a good tier above that. I'd be *really* surprised if MGS4 didn't capture enough support to advance with Brawl bothering TP.

Agreed. Of the last three non-Nintendo games (RE4, MGS3, MGS4), I can't see any being stronger than FFX. If FFX can't do it, Pokemon is the fourth finals entrant.

Yeah, the whole idea of MGS4 SFFing MGS3 is pretty out there. Plenty of MGS4 voters tomorrow would side with MGS3 the next round, assuming anything actually comes out of this match. It'd depend on what happened with Brawl/TP.

MGS3 advancing would probably make for a worse match next round, but I love it almost as much as I love RE4. Plus, I'd like to see how the 3/4 split works itself out. Guess I'll just enjoy this one!

If TP>MGS3 pulls through, then there is a chance of the MGS fanbase not splitting enought, thus TP>Brawl (or vice versa) occurs. Should FFX advance (and it will guys), we could see FFX come closer to OoT, what with a second Zelda and a stronger Smash Bros.

Then again, Zelda Vs. Zelda never goes well for the weaker entrant.

I mean, seriously, have we not paid attention to how fanbases operate in four-ways? Cloud DOUBLED a character that once went 50-50 with him because an upstart NNer dared to challenge his position. If MGS4 has the advantage (and it does), then it will pound MGS3 but good.

Twighlight Princess looks like it'll finish at like at least 60% on Oblivion which is quite a bit more impressive than MGS3's win over it, so even if there is LFF here with MGS3 and RE4, MGS3 still wouldn't be on TP's level if you judge by that

Although it's weird how MGS3 is in contention for beating a game that nearly went toe to toe with TP. Ugh, so random.

Zen Analyzes the Match Pic

KP and Zen: The Picsmiths

Yes, I just coined the term "Picsmith." I recently posed the question to KP: "What if you and me didn't make pics?"

Well, for one, we wouldn't have the controversy of Atlas Hale or any other strange things I cook up, and two, we wouldn't have KP's always-perfect-pics that Bacon puts on top billing. Would others have cropped up to fill our places? Would MK8 have replaced us completely...?

Regardless, it's because KP and I are around that we have these two pics:

First off is mine! Yes, I used the bar style, and although it isn't bad, EVERYONE is doing it. I originally had thought that I was the first to do one this contest, but then I realized KP had done one a while back and I had completely forgotten.

So, what's wrong with this pic? Well, SSBB stands out like crazy. Too bright! I used the same blue-to-white gradient that was seen all over the Brawl update site, but I think it was a bad idea in the end.

But, you know, it's pretty fair all around and there's no glaring errors or gimmicks, and I can't even be harsh on myself for this one.

Overall: 9/10

I love this one. The blurred borders make it look great. I can't complain about much other than Link should have a gun or something, but honestly, it looks too damn nice for me to ***** about something so small.

I don't know if you're joking or not, but Clould got the exact same percentage on Sephiroth in 2007.
