Aw yeah look at that awesome SNV! Next year if Crono meets Vincent again though, he's going to beat him at the ASV outright- CT went even with FFVII at the ASV, and Vincent is a bit worse than Cloud/Seph with the day vote. Of course, Crono will be getting like 55% on him, so it won't matter.

I think Big Boss's strength is probably up there these days, since it's unlikely we'll ever see him get the old MGS1 art again with all the recent pics of him out there. It helps he's had tons of exposure since MGS3, too.

I really wish the next character battle would be 1v1. I tried to create a bracket, and realized I couldn't set up a fair Mario/Crono match so that the loser was out at all! One member of Clinkeroth would have to take first so that Mario/Crono could duel for second, but any of Clinkeroth would affect the match. Snake is the only option, really, but there's no guarantee he even beats Mario, so.....4-ways suck.

Here it is. The pic that broke the very foundations of the Stats Topic down, causing controversy that lasted for at least fifty posts. Called such things as 'tripe', 'pretty bad', and 'I'd rather have no pic than see this', today I am here to answer a question: just how bad it is? Was it really deserving of all the scorn?

Well, sort of.

On a 'Look What I Can Do In Photoshop' level, this pic is actually pretty good. The limited pic space is used very well, and there's great little details (8.8, Virtual Boy visor). As a pic maker, I can appreciate stuff like that.

But on a basic level...the pic is pretty bad. The point of the match pic is to draw attention to the contest entrants, and all four of them take up around 30% of the total pic space. And they're in black and white. Necessary for the theme of the pic or not, that's just no good. And here's the main problem; the joke falls flat for too many. How many people know about Atlas Hale? How many people knew about it before the Team Fortress 2 Sniper update that was the inspiration for the pic? If you're gonna sacrifice things to make a themed artsy pic, then it's gotta be something that everyone is going to understand, or at least be related to one of the games.

So, while I don't have nearly the amount of hatred for artsy pics that most people here do (for obvious reason), I still have to give the pic a 3.5/10. Good effort, wrong concept.

I didn't think anyone really took it seriously until the day before the match, when the consensus opinion here seemed to shift in a matter of hours from "Mario 64 is the favorite over Chrono Trigger, but CT could pull it off" to "SM64 is going to get closer to FFVII than CT."

Put Cloud and Seph in the same match.

That probably just gives Mario 1st place. Or if he's far enough below Snake that he can't beat Cloud with Crono there too as well as Seph, Cloud takes first and Mario takes 2nd. Mario can have his rematch with Cloud (or rather Cloud can have his rematch with Mario) but let's not have 2 other Square characters there too!

Meh, I don't see any reason for Oblivion to be doing any better than Diablo II is here today. It's RE vs. MGS vs. Zelda vs. Elder Scrolls.

I think Oblivion is sooner to get Last Place Factor'd than anything else. This is Zelda vs. Resident Evil vs. Metal Gear, after all.
