And it looks like Ocarina of Time is probably not going much higher than 38.5% here. MGS, despite its free falling, will still end up around 35% on OoT. What do we think about this performance?

It got the job done, but FFVII wins this round.

as for the MGS/FFX thing, I think it's best if you stop trying to analyze it down to the percent. things won't make sense that way - I think our top 25 games are way too close together to be able to draw accurate conclusions. it'd be like if Crono/Mega Man/Squall/Vincent/Auron/Tifa/Sora cluster**** had 15 other competitors.

I'll take FFX over MGS. I'll take MGS over KH. I'll take KH and FF8 to be about equal. I don't care if they don't line up perfectly numerically.

I'll say this though - RBY looks to be right on the cusp of that second tier. it could be #3 or it could be #10, but it's definitely in contention with all those Mario games and maybe LTTP depending on where it actually is.

OoT laid a bomb this round. 35% on OoT for MGS doesn't sound right, and if we consider OoT = FF7, that means MGS beats CT. I don't like the sound of that

To me it did, but I thought MGS was going to be a top 10 game since the beginning of the contest. Of course FFVII did the same to CT (SFF?) yesterday.

creative, is there any way to break down the updater into like 15 minute timeframes or by the hour instead of just looking at it per 5 minutes?

That would be a good feature for those who like 15 minute updates (which I don't like at all) or by the hour, but as long as I can still view updates for every 5 minutes.

it helps when your opponents are Yuna, Liquid and Alucard, but yeah.

Heh, he jumped from 42% to 51% with the ASV in the first round against Vercetti, PaRappa, and Yuna, too. Of course, none of those are day vote champs.

Haven't done the Chief/Luigi/Ganon match yet though, so we'll see how that one went.

Nice ASV show by RBY here. Not a great show by OoT overall.

I'm thinking Diablo II will impress tonight. Also wondering if Melee will follow Ocarina's lead with a not-so-impressive performance.

KP made this one! ...In fact, he made the #1 pic for the next three matches! Something fishy is going on here...

Anyway, this pic is VERY solid. The only complaint I have is that FFX is lacking boobs. But Jecht makes up for that because Jecht is not only awesome but he never wears a shirt, soaking up the fangirl vote. And WHAT THE HELL is up with the Amazon chick in the Diablo II pic? She looks like a Ghoul from Fallout. Seriously. I guess it doesn't matter, though. Who gives a crap about the classes? Also a hardy XFD @ the kiddyness of Kingdom Hearts.

Hmmmm, not sure what to say here. The silhouettes are recognizable to me, but it's gonna hurt Diablo in the long run. Not like it has much of a chance...

I love that Tidus art, and it figures the ONE time it gets used, it's all black. Not much to say on this, because in the end it looks nice. I would have used bevel but I say that about almost everything.

Hey, it's mine! Lawlz Master Hand. I dunno what I was thinking. I'm not too happy with the finished product, but eh. Can't say this one is balanced because the Hand isn't exactly a Melee figurehead (although he could beat Kuja lawl), but it's not like it's gonna stop Melee from dominating here.

What the HELL was this guy thinking? Honestly. This is the worst pic I've seen in a while. Way to screw Leon with his secret costume from the PS2 version. I can't imagine what this person was thinking.

Look at those logos. Look at them. It's not too hard to "obtain" photoshop and magic eraser away the background. Hell, you could google "Twilight Princess logo png" and get this:

Why does Bacon choose this garbage? I mean, gimmicks may not be best, but at least there's effort put into them. God damn that pic is ugly. I can see the anti-aliasing around the characters! MSPaint is not your friend, kids.

Alright, ranting done. I hope we don't get any more pics like this. Balance-wise it's just OK, but quality-wise it's atrocious. This and Coffee Ninja's pic for today. I would again like to raise the question of why Bacon lets us do this if he just picks out garbage.
