I'd say FFX is slight favorite, but it should be a good match with RBY/FFX. But that being said, RBY has a chance to be bandwagoned, and just the slightest boost in strength could win it.

I don't know if you want to rely on the potential for a bandwagon to win a match. Raw strength is always best. It's kinda like relying on an LFF split to win.

Note that FFX is getting 56.29% on KH presently after 53.16% last round.

I think a lot of people were expecting KH and Smash/Nintendo to have some overlap, given their trends. It's why I expect Twilight Princess to look better this round.

Considering KHII/RE4 and TP/HL2 did almost exactly identical from round 1 to round 2 (less than a percent), I don't know why you'd expect that. If TP looks better, I'd sooner blame it on MGS3 than KHII.

KH needed support last round to make it by MGS2, and FFX needs support this round to compete with Melee. Not too surprising that KH is doing worse this round.

And it looks like KH and SSBM are taking turns at winning the day vote. Melee is at the exact same percentage it was 90 minutes ago. KH hasn't gained much, only about .12%, but better than staying the same.

I don't get why "overlap" seems to be accepted far more quickly than a term like LFF when they are basically the same thing. I think Smash overlaps with KH more than it would with FFX. They have similar trends (differing only at the Power Hour) and both appeal to a younger fan, on average, than FFX would. This doesn't strike me as particularly unreasonable.

I don't think you understand. I'm saying Smash overlaps with Kingdom Hearts more than Smash overlaps with FFX. Obviously, the biggest overlap among all four games is between FFX and KH.

Yeah, I've always thought there's a lot more LFF present than we tend to acknowledge. You don't need one of our standard reasons to have LFF- just disproportionate overlap. SSBM/KH LFF is probably minor in effect though, and I'd guess FFX needing the votes this round while KH needed them last round accounts for more of the difference.

Saying they have the same trends is not a very convincing argument for overlap. Squall and Sora definitely overlap, and their trends are about as different as can be. Cloud and Squall's trends are very different as well. Kingdom Hearts and SSB have strong day votes because they're more popular in America relative to everywhere else. It's the same reason Halo has a strong day vote.

KP told me that when he made this he was going for "as generic as possible." And oh my it is generic. I can't complain about ANYTHING. Well, Naked Snake kinda blends into his background, but THAT'S WHAT HE DOES. And he used a pic of Brawl Link instead of TP Link but that's more my pet peeve than anything.

Another bar pic! Can't complain because the style isn't bad but we're eventually gonna beat it to death. Not much to complain about here but the lack of distinguishing backgrounds is both good for balance but bad to overall look. Can't say I like Ada popping in either, it kinda throws off the groove, but she is delicious after all.

I think you guys know how I feel about this one. And the worst part is, Coffee Ninja used Photoshop. I can MSPaint that! And to throw salt on the wound, Coffee Ninja actually makes good pics and this one got chosen over any of them.

They're pretty ugly, but they're definitely recognizable and still better than Amano art.

All three leads in this match are pretty close to the same. SSBM > FFX, FFX > KH, KH > D2 are all about 6000 votes.
