I just realized that we might be in for six very boring matches in a row. Unless Diablo decides to go crazy or MGS4 gives Brawl a fight, we probably won't see anything unpredictable or exciting until TP/RE4/Brawl/MGS4, and we've got to wade through a week of bleh to get there. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong, but it kinda sucks, since this was the period when last year's CB actually started to get exciting.

I still say FFX is very beatable by whoever comes out of this match, especially if MGS somehow pulls a miracle here.

It's hard to picture that. Pokemon should win this match, but it won't kill MGS by the end or anything, and this was a MGS that was splitting with FFVIII. Next round, there won't be another non-Nintendo option. FFX will galvanize enough of the voters to make it. It probably won't be in any danger.

Ah, I forgot SSBM was in the match as well.

Regardless, RBY is getting nearly 38% on OOT now. That is strength to be feared, especially if you think OOT > FF7.

Unlike, say, CT, MGS has a very good DSV so it should be able to build a decent lead. I don't think it's going to do it much good though; if the Pokes pulled 24% during the power hour they can probably match that or come close in the ASV, which should be plenty to win.

I thought the morning was Pokemon's best time? And a quick glance shows RBY didn't do much with the day vote in either of its previous matches. Especially in Round 2 where it was a very frontloaded game.

Last round was a weekend match. That morning vote where MGS plummeted and RBY rose like crazy is basically equivalent to what the ASV is going to be like here.

OoT is in this one though, so any ASV vote gains are going to be a bit lowered in terms of the number of votes (rather than percentage). MGS would still have to build quite a lead with the DSV though, and I don't see that happening.
