I don't trust FFX. we've clamored for fanbase splits a bunch of times and they've rarely worked out - that match is a huge tossup.

FFX or MGS4 look golden though. the possibility of a OOT/SSBM/SSBB/MGS4 semifinal is just too much. I guess it could be RE4 in place of MGS4 too.

The thing is that FFX doesn't need to rely on any significant fanbase split there. It won't be able to challenge Melee with KH hanging around, but unless it completely bombs there, I think it's right there in strength with the competition, making the fanbase split just icing on the cake.

FFX has shown itself to be legit though. FFVIII was an unproven commodity. Besides, FFX is this generation's FFVII (despite only being 4 years younger...), so it's still got relevance and recency to it.

The only problem there is the fact that OoT doesn't seem to be doing much of anything to RBY, and it may not do anything to SSBM.

After seeing this, anyone still confident OoT beats FFVII if it's OoT/LTTP/FFVII/FFX? Yeah, I know LTTP's a different story than RBY, but...

FFVII starts off slow as usual, but it peaked after the morning vote this time, for whatever the reason. It dropped from there. Mario 64 with a great board vote and an awful night vote. ASV was easily its best time. CT had a good Power Hour but couldn't keep it up overnight. The morning vote was worse for it than the ASV though. GoldenEye pretty balanced overall, but the first hour was its best time yet again.

Well, there's clear FF/MGS overlap here. This is what happens when you have 2 popular PSX games. Also explains why FFT did badly. But it matters not. Ocarina of Time failed to match FFVII this round despite a weaker 4-pack. ROUND 3 GOES TO FINAL FANTASY VII

ya.. I'd never take mgs over CT or SM64. Ocarina will most likely fall a couple %. Though, it's regained 2-3% with the morning/asv. Im guessing it'll end in 39.xx%

You should be alright now, because not much starts slower than Twilight Princess. In OoT, 20-30 minutes gets you in the first dungeon. TP took, what, two or three hours?

Hmmmm...looks like MGS might really take the lead overnight after all. Sucks that it'll get buried in the day.
