Personally, I'd guess this result is pretty reflective of how a 1v1 match would go. SM64/GE overlap is stronger, but GE is getting SFFed fairly hard, so it balances out.

yeah CT would be top 15. there's really not much difference between like #3 and 15, but if you lose cleanly to a game that's being doubled by FF7, I don't think you're all that threatening.

I think CT could surprise against certain games though. I dunno what would happen in CT/Melee, for example.

My personal favorite. Sure, it's biased towards Pokemon, but Pokemon deserves it. Because it's Pokemon. I chuckled at the FFVIII description because of how stupid the gunblade is. Sure, it looks cool, but it's got to be the dumbest weapon practicality-wise. Does it hurt more if you load it with bullets? Wouldn't the improper grip break your wrist if you hit something too hard?

But I digress. This pic gets a solid 11/10 out of me. +1 for causing controversy, because seeing people whine about something so inconsequential is hilarious.

Bland, but it works. I would have used a bevel. Not much I can say, but is that "pick your starter" scene in Pokemon important enough to have TWO pics? Eh, whatever. Also, I had to squint a bit to see Ganondorf. I don't think it's that big of a deal, but it amazes me when people complain about the visibility of my graffiti pic but not this one.

8/10 for being bland, but it works too well for me to knock on it too hard.

Advantage: Pokemon (for being the brightest and not having Seifer).

It doesn't work. Sorry, Coffee, I love you and all, but it's so sloppy. White line under Zelda's pic and black line on the right of it. You have Photoshop for a reason! And what the hell is with the FFVIII logo? Dude, you can get a Final Fantasy font in like ten seconds and just type out the name really quick. It looks like crap when it's anti-aliasing like that, and there's no transition between Squall and the giant black chunk.

MGS looks fine I guess, but the logo is really low quality. Throw a red color overlay over that ****! Pokemon is fine I guess, but of all screenshots, the trainer standing in the middle of the grass...? Yes, the trainer is iconic, but you can't have him doing something more iconic or being somewhere a bit more recognizable?

Overall, 3/10. Sorry, man, but I can't get past the sloppiness. It would have been pretty good otherwise.

Another one by my good buddy, KP! I can't really complain about this one because it's so simple, but the only thing I'm picky about here is the stroke around the MGS logo. It doesn't look right to me. OoT has the same problem but to a lesser extent.

9/10. Very balanced. Pikachu stands out a bit much, though, and I like the FFVIII pic. "ANGST, ANGST, HAY GUYZ :)"

picture 1 is the only notable one.. so yeah, it's the clear best one for attracting a vote. it could bring on a Pokemon overperformance.

the rest are neutral and not really going to change much - they look fine and they'll get fans of a game to vote for said game.

I don't think anybody hear is dumb enough to think that a picture swayed enough voters to cause an upset in any way.

The only pics that might cause trouble are Old Big Boss and Solid ****, but with Board 8 in charge I don't think we'll ever get those again.

It probably needs to score as much as MGS and the advancing game combined, assuming MGS doesn't flop and dies due to some unaccounted PSX SFF. Otherwise, doing the same as FF7 will do, since its fourpack is probably as strong or slightly stronger.

Eh, I think the complaints about the first picture are justified. I'm sure non-MGS fans would be annoyed with a picture of them all in codec conversations or something too. Pictures really should be fair first, and creative second.

I'm not even convinced that FF7's fourpack is stronger.

Pokemon RBY ?? Goldeneye, especially since Pokemon could get beaten into the ground by OOT

FF8 has done nothing to prove its anywhere near CTs level. Getting LFF'd hard by FF9 and beating an obviously weak old PC game doesn't impress me
