CT was up 151 votes 2 updates ago.
CT dropped its percentage lead, but is now up 152 votes.

In fact, as late as 7 AM or so, the main projection still showed a Vincent win by as much as 2007 (51.42%).

Wow. In that last update, FFVII stole .1% off of Mario's percentage....and CT took the other .01%...

So much for SFF, at least for that update. If that trend continues then CT won't even need that large of a lead, with FFVII gobbling up so much of the remaining percentage...

Aren't most schools out?

Schools here are still in until Friday. The vote totals for the DSV are still much lower than those for the ASV, so it hasn't shifted to summer/weekend trends quite yet.

And the thing is that Mario 64 really isn't doing any better than it has been since the first half hour of the match. FFVII is hindering CT's gains more than anything else right now.

FFVII is going to kill everything in a couple of hours. 3 games that are horrible in Europe up against the FFVII Total Domination Zone. Then it will stop rising, and a few hours later lose lots of ground with the ASV.

Didn't Chrono Trigger lose the lead during the ASV last time?

Will GoldenEye split the ASV with Super Mario 64, causing Chrono Trigger to advance?

Of course, I wish that both Chrono Trigger and Mario 64 could move on. Oh well, 16 points for my bracket! (next thing we know, Mario 64 is going to take the lead during the ASV).

Pretty sure Mario 64 took the lead from CT around 9:30 AM.

I guess you just can't touch the core CT fanbase; I was hoping SM64 could be doing better here. That said, whoever said FF7's taking any big gains CT could be making is probably right...just don't forget that means FF7'll be fighting CT in the ASV too, and that battle should look a lot worse than their battle right now. I still like SM64 here, but it's not a gimme.

Eh I'm not as optimistic about CT right now. I think within the next update or two it will be ahead by less than it was the same time last match. I don't buy the Goldeneye leeching from Mario theory at all, and Mario is gonna be a beast (at least compared to CT) during the day/ASV. Unless CT really makes a move, this one is over folks.

I'm torn on how to feel for SM64 here. On one hand it's doing a touch worse than it was doing last time, but on the other there are about 3000 more votes so you'd expect the leads to be a bit larger/more dramatic. Of course that's all irrelevant when you factor in that FFVII's in this poll, so last round's numbers may not mean anything at all...

I know the way out is to look at percentages, but still, it's intriguing...
