Oh, on the FF7 staying in 3rd though - I don't think it does for more than a few seconds maybe. It'll blast Chrono Trigger too hard for that I think. It could stay in 2nd a while though.

Oh boy this match i hope will be one helluva barn-burner.

Chrono Trigger being the underdog, Goldeneye possibly the sniper that shoots Mario 64 in the foot, slowing him down, and FF7 taking a slow and steady pace to the advancement line.

FF7 > SM64 should still be the favorite. But I would give SM64 > FF7 a good 25% chance or so of happening.

Mario 64 will most likely end up closer to FF7 than CT when all is said and done.

In terms of game quality I kind this is easily the top match we've had so far. Just a group of 4 unbelievable games. Every single one of these games is among my absolute top tier games - I totally love them all. This match really stood out to me in game quality when I was making my bracket.

I think this match should get our highest vote totals so far. What match has that right now?

Looking at last round.....FFVII finished a full 5% higher than where it was at the 1 hour mark. It finished almost 10% above where it was after 5 minutes. It probably won't do that badly early on this time, but that's really brutal.

This Mario 64 > FFVII stuff is a pipe dream, but I'd be surprised to see Chrono Trigger placing today. Between last round and the past couple of days, it's hard to see anything but FFVII > Mario here.
