So we're just guestimating trends now when we have no evidence to prove its anything other then a night game? Says the person who thought RE4 would fail so much that KHII would comeback from being down 2000 votes. GTA4 had rock bottom expectations coming in but it's actually done pretty well for itself. you know, all the 2008 games have done really well. MGS4, Fallout, Brawl, GTA4, they've all done admirably when put against their 2007 counterparts. --- xyzzy http://img.imgcake.com//chewing.jpg |

It's a Smash Bros. game. End question. That was much more an expression of outrage at Gamefaqs's taste rather than shock at Brawl being strong. I mean, come on, this game is worse than Melee in essentially every single last way. Essentially, Melee is to Brawl as 1v1s are to 4-ways, as I've been saying for a while. 3 got nearly 42% on Fallout 3, which isn't too shabby, really,
especially the stronger Brawl looks. It almost seems like the strongest

match makes me kind of mad Smash Brothers got replaced by Soul Calibur.
It probably would have been SFFd to hell by OoT in the second round,
but there's an outside chance it could have advanced there. And there
is NO WAY Starcraft would have placed in a poll with Smash Brothers and

If you feel 4-ways are more exciting than 1v1s, I see no reason why you wouldn't prefer Brawl to Melee. Smash Bros. in general is like 4-ways while games like SF are like one-on-ones. This is super impressive by Brawl, to be sure, but I thought Twilight Princess' performance yesterday was pretty good as well. Damn shame Galaxy's getting creamed, but it looks like it just isn't that strong to start with. is absolutely stronger than Galaxy, but Brawl is putting up a
ridiculous 71% on Galaxy right now. I expect the Zelda/Brawl match to
be much, much tighter, but it's hard to imagine Zelda competing. Very
