That'd be a lot more credible if you actually had legitimate grounds for your argument. Maybe try admitting you don't quite know as much as you thought about trends, maybe don't throw wild predictions around so often. Maybe?

We're not sure how GTAIV is going to affect it. Those two games target a pretty similar audience and have been released on both the 360 and PS3. It might not have as much relative overlap as TF2 because of the genres, but it is a significantly stronger game. Plus, CoD4 did have a very nice fanbase split to its advantage last time. If enough Nintendo fans jump off Galaxy's ship, I could see Brawl competing.

If Brawl is weaker than Galaxy Call of Duty 4 has a chance to make the finals.

CoD4/Galaxy/MGS4/FO3 - If Brawl is weak so are the other two.
CoD4/Galaxy/TP/RE4 - CoD4 is the odd one, plus Galaxy/TP kill off each other

If I were to make a bold prediction here, I'd say that RE4 is looking golden to make the semifinals. That Brawl/TP split will be huge, and MGS4 is going to have to really prove to me that it has chops. It'll need to do that against Brawl, not the entire Xbox 360 library while its overlapping.

Look for CoD4 to impress again tomorrow. SSBB > D/P, but I'm pretty sure the people expecting it to beat CoD4 with SMG in the poll are crazy. SMG lost by 7% with D/P in the poll and it's not like SSBB blew away expectations in R1; it still did worse against Persona 4 and GTA4 than it did in the GotY-polls this year, and it only killed SF4 because SF4 bombed. CoD4 will win.

I still think SMG's got a decent shot for second place, though SSBB's gotta be the fave. If CoD4 ~= FO3 and SMG can still beat CoD4 one-on-one, then SSBB/SMG should be close enough where it's all about how the SFF lies. SMG's probably more unanimously liked than SSBB and we know SMB > SSB, so it's not impossible and should still be pretty close. Don't let D/P fool you -- I really don't think SSBB could have pulled away from it much better than SMG did, considering what we've seen from Pokemon this contest...

...but the board vote is going to crush SMG very early anyway; it will have to make a comeback and prepare to survive the ASV with its night-vote if their trends up up, and I don't think SMG can do it if SSBB comes out swinging particularly strong (on top of this board and brackets).
