I have a little link to show you all, another close 3way match won by WoW rallying:

Albion, you're bragging about a character from a game with 11,000,000+ subscribers that featured you spending all day rallying (and getting about 3-5 votes an hour by your own projection) to beat Laharl and Ramza. This contest hasn't shown me that people care much more to help out the game with rallying than a character from it, either. If you have the nerve to take the "Hey, I have this little piece of evidence you might want to see" route...please, as a favor, stuff it. Your projection means you got Hogger 120 votes MAX. Spare us and just let a WoW-match happen instead of giving reason to root against it, please.

Goddamn. I can't wait to see it eliminated, and I enjoyed the little bit I played of it.


Anyway, MGS3 > MGS2, I'm pretty certain of it though I don't know by how much -- probably not a whole lot. I've never seen anything suggesting MGS2 actually beats MGS3 aside from sales, and if sales mattered then WoW and Halo 2 would have eliminated MGS3 in Round One (and we would look for RBY to upset LoZ:OoT next round).

Also, despite my little rant, I like MGS3 > WoW. Oblivion just feels like a weird pick to overtake it through-out the day, and ToS looks like it's falling out of contention (good show for it though).

As somebody who has gamed as long as I can honestly remember, I don't want to hate a game and whatever success it has. This contest is supposed to be a celebration and test of these games. I'm all for people rallying for their favorites and understand arguments come up, but I don't want to be driven against one of the most popular games of our time, especially by one of its fans. That's all, as both a visitor of these contests since 2002 and a lifelong gamer. **** this "public enemy" idea, I just want to be supportive of the games and community in general.

For the record, I do have a bit of a stigma against Sony, but it goes outside of video games and it didn't happen during the PS1's/PS2's reigns.

I'm glad I have your respect though, thank you (though I understand if the above changed your mind!). I just care a lot about video games and the culture, even if I'm not as deep into it or as up-to-date anymore as I'd like to be sometimes.

I'd take WoW here, it probably has the favorable trends. In a tight spot it'll take it and I don't see Oblivion having the teeth to pull away from it.

Yeah, WoW only lost half a percent to Halo's day vote. It outperformed MGS3 and Okami in that time period. Those are hardly daytime beasts, but I think WoW has pretty steady trends. Looking at its main opponent's match, the same might be said for Oblivion. This thing could be tight all day, and if it is, give me WoW. Good ol' fashioned rallying and bracket rallying should carry it through.

Time to predict the match, but let's start out with the games. Resident Evil 4 and Half-Life 2 might very well be THE games of the century; they're packed with action that almost never ceases, push technical boundaries, offer new types of gameplay seldom (if ever) seen before. Meanwhile, Zelda: Twilight Princess is the biggest game ever (is that actually true?), and Kingdom Hearts 2 has a great story with (from what I've heard) gameplay, difficulty, and AI issues.

I don't have much idea of any position, which will make this match absolutely sweet (and Kingdom Hearts 2 makes me hungry for chocolate, for some reason). Half-Life 2 is the only one of these games that failed to break 40k (or even 35k) votes last round, so it's probably coming in last. After that, I'm going to assume that Twilight Princess will win since it managed the highest vote total of these games (though RE4 and KH2 weren't very far off). So it boils down, once again, to Kingdom Hearts 2 vs. Resident Evil 4. As much as we'd like to think RE4 will get hurt by Twilight Princess, I just don't think so, since most Nintendo fans prefer RE4 over TP. In that theory, RE4 should actually do better on KH2 since Gears of War might have been hurting it last round. And, uhm, that's all that I have to say. Well, I have a feeling that Half-Life 2 will do respectably, so...

Resident Evil 4 - 25.82%, Kingdom Hearts 2 - 24.65%, Zelda: Twilight Princess - 27.43%, Half-Life 2 - 22.11%
Prediction: Zelda: Twilight Princess > Resident Evil 4

Oblivion and WoW seem to be doing the most with morning vote, and ToS and MGS continue to die. Oblivion is doing a tiny bit better though, so it might win the asv by a tiny bit.

Hmm.....Oblivion is doing pretty well here; WoW didn't kill it overnight. Xbox always does much much better with the ASV than the morning, so I say WoW is going to need a rally with the SNV to win this.

San Andreas and God Of War aren't exactly top tier competition either. I completely gave up on GTA being anything more than high fodder long ago.
