The sad thing is that my bracket has Halo > SSBM tomorrow because I didn't think Halo would suck that badly and I thought the LFF between SSBM and WW would be enough to make a difference!

...This seriously might be the worst bracket I've ever had.

Analysis

At least we have some variety in this match unlike todays. Here we will find out the extent of LFF Melee suffered last round and whether or not Halo was affected by KotOR’s performance last round. Also with both Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts going to the next round the game that’s advancing with Super Smash Bros. Melee may have a chance to place next round.

While it made it through against weak competition Wind Waker will get last. Super Smash Bros. Melee did a number on it and both Halo and Diablo II are half decent opponents. Wind Waker was defeated so badly that it couldn’t even double Disgaea. It’s a shame that Wind Waker was thrown to the wolves it could have really surprised the board for better or worse.

Going against my upset I think Super Smash Bros. Melee will take first. Melee handled SFF much better than I thought and even with Wind Waker in the match I don’t see LFF hurting it enough for it to fail to take first. Of course it’s possible for Melee to choke and take second, but that will be as much of a surprise as Wind Waker placing.

Last round Halo did worse than I expected while KotOR did much better. It’s a great possibility that Halo can rebound from its last round loss to Diablo II and take second in this match. Halo only loss by 1900 votes, it wouldn’t be a great stretch to believe that Halo could easily make it up. There seems to be some arguments that Halo could be affected by Melee because they are both popular party games, though in reality those two tend to be more exclusive since they are on different systems.

Diablo II did well last round however it didn’t defeat Halo by enough for it to walk right through to the division final. Diablo II may take the lead at the beginning though unless it gets a massive rally which doesn’t look likely Halo may take the win with the ASV. It should be an interesting battle.

I’ll be rooting for my Melee upset pick though as things currently stand it likely won’t happen. Still don’t be surprised if Diablo II takes the lead over Melee at night since apparently it has the best night vote among its opponents despite being average throughout all times. Wind Waker will look terrible here marking our second Zelda that’s been eliminated.

We'll see how much KOTOR really LFFed Halo to any significant degree.

Smash and Halo should have the best board votes. Halo will die overnight. Match will probably be close enough that it's got a shot with the ASV though. Might even see a double-comeback for Diablo at night if it's close.

And it's not that Wind Waker is holding up. It's actually doing about the same as last round, if not a little worse. It's getting outright doubled by Melee right now. This is all Diablo II and Halo bombing.
