Sora vs. Sonic/Mega Man/Crono: Who you got?

he barely beats Sonic, and is and have close matches with Mega Man and Crono.

Pretty sure he lose to Crono, he is not of Vincent's caliber yet.

I can't imagine the fanbase liking Sora as much as the games. I know KHII made him better, but...he's still Sora.

If Sora can get that close to Squall three times out of four and many of us would take Squall over those three, why not Sora? Especially after KHIII.

And to think just yesterday I was talking about how nothing could possibly take out FFX in the top half, short of FFVIII LFF. Pah, I've been trying to sell FFX short for like three years now (board hype zone) and then I defend it right before it falls on its face.

Should Kingdom Hearts take this, I see no reason why it shouldn't place next round (don't prove me wrong, Diablo II). That means the penultimate match could be Ocarina/FFVIII/Melee/KH...is that good or bad for the Square games?

I think this legitimizes the possibility of KHII escaping its division and maybe getting to the semifinal as well - it has to beat a possibly hindered RE4 that barely outlasted it last round and MGS3, which doesn't appear like a threat after today. Then it'll have two Nintendo (say TP and Brawl), shouldn't be a problem to beat one of them, and MGS4/Fallout 3, which it should be safe against if it can take RE4.

Ocarina/KH/TP/KHII is a pretty hilarious semifinal.

It also essentially still locks the Championship for OoT.

As there is no way one of the KH games does not beat the scraps that will be left for TP.

And at this point in time, if any Square game not named Xenogears were to make the final, FF VII has no chance.

The only thing to worry about now is FF X/KH/KH II/FF VIII spliting enough for someone else to go through, but that is worst case scenario.

What we could really use is OoT>RBY next round, and then eliminating FF VIII, but the problem is if RBY is strong enough to beat FF VIII while against OoT, it would beat X/KH/KH II with OoT. God this is confusing now, damn you X.

Two out of those three times there was a big and BIG FF7 character in the way, respectively. Sora has to get close to Squall in a 1v1 setting before I take that as legit - and even then, I'll have my doubts. Circumstance means a lot - see Mega Man/Zero 2k4 as opposed to Snake/Cube/Mega Man/Zero 2k8.

The only times Sora ever got that close to Squall was with Smiling Squall and when Cloud was in the poll, and I think MM/Crono/Sonic would have done that well without outside interference.

This seems like rSFF more than anything else! It's basically doing exactly the same on Vice City as last round. FFX is only at 55% on MGS2 after 62% last round.

FFX is fine. it's just another case of a favourite being antivoted early. KH is legit though. looking forward to RE4/KH2 part 2 - I get the feeling people will be backing KH2 there now.

This makes me realize how badly the 2004-2006 division is setup. RE4/KH2/TP/HL2 is far stronger than whatever we will see in round 3. Maybe even round 4.

3000 by 3 PM should be safe. KH, like Halo and Smash, doesn't have much of a morning vote, so FFX has 14 good hours to gain.

And as far as FFX Top 10 status goes, depending on how it does the rest of the match I think it still has a shot there. I completely trust this match about as much as any SFF-laden affair.

Hm, Smilin' Squall was 400 votes ahead of Sora after the Power Hour, built a lead of 4200 and ended ahead by 2750. I'd guess that FFX is more balanced than Squall, but it should also have a better Power Hour. FFX is looking pretty good so far, but it's not completely out in the clear.

Probably because VC is getting last place factor'd and getting artificially helped by the LFF.
