Yeah, I'm not even sure what's happening here. Is this all legit? Is GE affecting MK64? Is Mario RPG affecting MK64? Is FFVII affecting Mario RPG?

Goldeneye is for real. A month ago, I thought there was no way MK64 would be in its league - Goldeneye was THE multiplayer experience on a multiplayer console. Seems like some MK64 fans got in my head!

Super Mario Kart would likely be doing better than MK64 here but only because it's a different generation. MK64 is almost for sure stronger than SMK.

I don't know. It'll go up, but FFVII looks to be LFFd here, or else this is a big disaster on its part.

Mario RPG does have a dedicated fanbase, so even if other mario games are present it doesn't seem to faze it much.

The fact that Mario RPG is considered the RPG for beginners gives it some casual appeal for those willing to give it a shot.

I have a feeling (fueled by nothing but fanboyism, I'm sure) that Ocarina is going to meet or exceed whatever percentage FFVII finishes with today. I expect to start a hype train on that day, and I want no one attempting to derail it and/or shoot it down. Feliz navidad.

I don't know. Goldeneye only scored 27% against Ocarina back in the day; yes it was being SFFd, but you'd think the triple Ninty overlap here would make this at least a similar situation. Goldeneye is looking to get 35% on FF7 at least by the time the match is over.

Wonky comparisons using outdated matches, yeah, but I'd say Advantage Ocarina. It helps that a game that got 30% against FF7 last round is bombing now.

I really hope FF8 can win, it could be close. Hopefully it destroys FF9.

Because Starcraft advancing over FF8 due to LFF would be pretty awful. Starcraft is weaksauce nowadays and doesn't deserve to advance over FF8 like that. FF8 would be capable of holding its own against any non-big two game (excluding SFF scenarios like FFX).

And I still say that SC barely has a snowball's chance in hell of advancing. A perfect split (with FFIX being equal to FFVIII, too) still makes it a close match, and FF8 and FF9 won't come anywhere close to having a perfect split.

Starcraft has little chance, 60%+ gaps are extremely hard to close, especially when FFVIII/FFIX have their own set a fans.

I think GoldenEye has redeemed itself from last round, too. Mario RPG looks to be a legit game.

I'd say Starcraft has a decent or even good chane.

It's definitely not small. If FF9 holds up at all it's trouble for FF8.

FF9 is newer than FF1 so it might hold up better than 1 did against 4.

Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity

We've already seen some extreme weirdness in the FF1/FF4 match, so I'm not giving that one to FF8 yet. Adding in OoT can mess things up as well.

Hopefully FF8 can make it through though.
