Rooting for Super Metroid here. Mario Kart 64 was easily the peak of that series for me - Super Mario Kart was good but no classic. Super Metroid was great (although i stopped playing in the middle for some reason, it was an excellent game).

I still love the contests. These are so much better than asking what season you were born in, or what consoles you own. But like Leon, I understand these could be SO MUCH BETTER if SB was not so damn stubborn.

Actually, I don't know what I'll do if we get another 4-way Character Battle with nothing new. I don't even know if I'll care unless it's a match involving Squall, Tidus, or Snake.

I still think next year they should switch it up. It's always Character Battle or Game Battle. Why not Worst Game Ever? Or Best FPS ever? Best Adventure game? Best Strategy Game? Etc.

The side contests generally haven't been too great. I wouldn't say no to a Nintendo vs. Square contest, where every game or character is from Nintendo or Square, but that'll probably have the FF/Zelda/Mario always wins contingent going crazy halfway through the first round.

Yeah, divisions by era I would argue is a bigger problem with this contest than the format, although both are problems. If we had no divisions by era, at least crap like Prince of Persia wouldn't be here.
