after the contest I'll be doing my "Most impressive/Disappointing
performance of this division" topic again (third time, I think) SF4 definitely has a shot at winning the whole thing, not only its division. I'm so glad I didn't stick with SF4 in second place. What a horrible performance. Yeah. This is AWFUL. I would've expected it to smash P4 from the beginning, but what does it do instead? 1. Never make an argument if you don't think it will happen. Playing Devil's Advocate is wrong. Unless you joke around then don't, simple as that. 2. Never make silly fanboy arguments. They waste extremely valuable stats topic time that could be better spent arguing Zelda vs. FF Take 57. There are better matches to argue, for example CoD4/Pokemon D/P tomorrow. 3. If a silly fanboy argument goes awry, mock the people who made it. They deserve it for loving an unpopular game. This is especially useful if it draws attention away from one of your picks going wrong. SF4 is sucking. Should go up overnight and finish higher than it is now
despite getting blasted during the day, but a fairly miserable
performance here. GTA actually doing pretty good - but though Brawl might push 50% I'm actually not too impressed with it. 60/40ing GTA4 probably doesn't make you a beast. Regarding this whole Persona debate thing, I'm going to go with tranny, Lopen, and of all people Black Turtle here... tranny Persona people weren't making an argument. they were making a fanboy stand. the vindictiveness is in response to that. you say you're "making an argument for fun", but if you don't believe it what's the point? Lopen If you're going to argue for some really stupid upset, own up to it when it goes horribly wrong. Otherwise don't bother arguing for it. BT Once again, WHY ARGUE FOR SOMETHING IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IT. Stop trying to play devil's advocate and only argue for things you actually believe in. If you pick your battles it makes you look like less of a tool than if you take every upset under the sun because it satisfies your "taste". You can't argue aggressively for something and then hide behind the skirts of "oh we're just arguing for the sake of it", that's just completely absurd and makes you look worse than just getting a pick wrong. You have to be able to admit when you're wrong. After Solid crushed Mega Man and Zero nearly combined, you said Mega Man would win one-on-one against Solid Snake if Zero wasn't there. It took an hour, but Persona 4 is now in fourth place. So can we change the subject, please? Tomorrow's match should be interesting to see how independent the Pokes really are from Nintendo. It'll be hard to judge because I think we all expect DP to be significantly weaker than RBY or GS and it's hard to say what CoD4's strength is, and Team Fortress 2 might muck things up...Nevermind, that looks like a lesson in futility.
