The silly thing is that I saw one bracket in which the winner was World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy VII was the runner-up. And that bracket had Ocarina of Time getting eliminated in the 2nd round.

Halo 2 probably wins, but this is no win to be proud of even if does slip by. For shame, Halo 2.

Halo is up against much crappier day votes this time. GTA3 would probably win the day vote against this pack. Also this whole "the weekend day vote is weak" is a myth to some degree. Master Chief's 2000 vote comeback against Donkey Kong was on a weekend, for example.

We've got a decent idea. We've seen Arthas, Thrall, Hogger, and the series. None of which have had anything impressive happen with daylight hours. All things point to it being a night game, especially its ramping up more than MGS3 of all games during the dead hours right now.

My point being is that Warcraft 3 is a hardcore RTS PC game, and WoW is about as casual as it gets, with many people of all ages who play it. Don't expect hardcore PC kinda trends. Not to mention its really not doing that great at night, its just gaining percentage due to the bleeding from Halo having to go SOMEWHERE.

It's not just going SOMEWHERE, though. It's going to WoW more than it's going to two night game specialists in MGS3 and Okami. I wouldn't be too surprised to see WoW to take the biggest dip from the day vote at this point, and that's saying something considering the competition.

I'm skeptical about comparing Warcraft characters to the game. they're just playing to different markets, I think, kinda like Axel Steel to Guitar Hero. I think Warcraft will be somewhat balanced in general - Halo might be able to swing 2000 votes but any counterrallying will make that number harder to come by.

BTW do you guys think Okami is getting SFFd by MGS3, as I predicted in my analysis? And do you think that Resident Evil 4 could PS2-SFF (most of its popularity is with the PS2, right?) Kingdom Hearts 2 and Shadow of the Colossus?

One stupid thing is that in my bracket, I almost forgot that Kingdom Hearts existed. During KH1's match, I originally had Metroid Prime > Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, before realizing that KINGDOM FREAKING HEARTS was in the match, and so I changed my bracket (and I did end up calling that match right, though I didn't want to see Metroid Prime leave so early). For tomorrow's match though, I forgot that KH2 was there, and picked Resident Evil 4 > Gears of War.

Whoops.

Nah this site is very Nintendo based, most of Resi 4's popularity probably comes from the Gamecube.
