damn,it
I can never get a reading on this contest,nintendo does well,then
screws up in other areas,games we thought were good were overrated and

here goes Melee with the ASV, as expected. 48-49% by the end is what I
expect here. Disgaea's already dropped nearly a quarter of a percent,
but Fire Emblem is holding firm. Wind Waker's dropped a little bit. For all of the arguments about tomorrow's poll, let's compile the evidence: God of War - 21.91% (28.31% directly on RE4) in the final GOTY poll, lost to Mario Kart DS (God of War II got a whopping 7.11% in the 2007 GOTY poll) San Andreas - Won 2004 GOTY over Half-Life 2, Halo 2, Metroid Prime 2 (which honestly isn't worth that much anymore because it was before the site shift), 13.95% in the Game of the Century poll (36.04% on FFX directly, which should be a decent comparison because they're the only PS2 games in the poll) Oblivion - 12.90% in the 2006 GOTY poll (22.97% on TP directly), nearly doubled by Gears of War in the XBox 360 GOTY poll, but got 53% in the PC GOTY Tales of Symphonia - 24.95% in the 2004 GOTY poll (41.54% on Metroid Prime 2, which then lost to San Andreas) So yeah, make of that what you will. --- http://www.court-records.net/animation/phoenix-superobjection.gif |

There's
not that much to debate. If GoW gets by it does so on name alone, as
it's showings are noticeably weaker than SA and Oblivion's. I could
probably make a case for ToS advancing, but I don't anyone wants to
hear that. All that's left is SA vs. Oblivion...which is debatable, I

If
San Andreas really does beat VC, I'd have to wonder why Carl Johnson
wsa so weak compared to Tommy and why Tommy made a comeback in later

Plus, handily losing to FFXI isn't exactly something to brag about, while we're at it. San Andreas is definitely not as strong as it was when it won GOTY. San Andreas beats Vice City easy. I'd be surprised if it didn't. Be prepared for it. GTA III broke GTA into the mainstream. GTA: VC became the face of the franchise. GTA: SA is the fanboys favorite (think Majora's Mask) but is still VC's little brother. --- Good Times, Great Memories |

random Majora's Mask comparisons have gotta stop. SA and VC don't match
at all -- SA isn't a game relatively few people loved, and it's by far

I don't trust those polls. Every one of those polls said that GTA
(anything) would beat the majority of these games, and every time those

on what? I haven't seen anything to show that VC is the more liked
game. SA has beaten it in a favorite series poll here, it's beaten it
on the list, it's done respectably enough in the GotC poll, and to take
it outside of GameFAQs for a second, IGN's 'readers top 100' had it

I
only read through about half of this topic so maybe this has already
been said, but i can't believe so many of you took Disgaea to go lower
than this. Laharl/Disgaea is one of the few cases where game =
character. He/it has an incredibly dedicated fanbase, and Laharl has
finished with nearly 17% in every 4-way he's been in. I'm actually
surprised the game is finishing lower than him, if anything i thought
it would hold up better... maybe FE is SFFing it a bit. --- Flash runs alongside Balefire watching marshmallows stop existing. - WarThaNemesis2 |

Hey,
this will be our 3rd match in a row where the last place game finishes
with double digits, after only four matches before that total. That
also makes 5 out of the last 7 matches with a last place game with
