So do I, and we shouldn't feel uneasy, we should feel like it's a total lost cause. FFX will drag another PS2 game with it, and Melee will drag either Diablo or Halo. Smash is the massive favorite there.

On another note, I'm beginning to think that LTTP has a better than even chance of beating FFVI even with 2 Nintendo games there. LTTP is probably about equidistant from FFVII and FFVI now, maybe a little closer to FFVI, and Super Metroid/Link's Awakening or whatever is there shouldn't hurt LTTP as much as CT and FFVI hurt FFVII. Yes, the overlap is closer among the Nintendo games, but CT and FFVI form a way stronger pair, so if FFVII should be the favorite in round 4, LTTP should probably be the favorite in round 3 as well.

It's gotta be, at least in its scenario. I gave FFX the win because I figured Prime would be in that poll (lol). Replace Prime with another PS2 game, especially Kingdom Hearts, and the edge easily shifts to Melee. It'll be the only Nintendo option, and a hugely popular one at that.

This stretch of matches, besides the current one, will probably be the worst I've ever had. Only 1 point yesterday, and I have GTA:SA > GoW and MGS3 > Halo 2.

Melee is like Halo, only with an awesome early vote. these other games are "what?", so I'm not amazed Wind Waker's flying up. I'm looking forward to seeing Melee vs. Halo in the day vote war.

Disgaea has a rock solid fanbase and it's the only non-Nintendo game in the poll. Fire Emblem may not be as powerful as you'd like, but to draw conclusions about its power from this match is just stupid.

Then again, it's Albion.

The fact that it's a PS2 game means nothing. I don't believe much in console LFF. Now if it's Kingdom Hearts FFX takes along, then yes, Melee is a big favorite.

Wind Waker currently has 36% on Melee and rising thanks to the Zelda morning vote. MGS2 got 37.74% on FFX.

Diablo has a bad board vote but a great night vote. Big dropoff in the morning but fairly consistent throughout the day. Halo has a horrible night vote as usual, but its legendary ASV pulls through again. KOTOR is very consistent all throughout. GTA III's trends are pretty identical to Vice City's: Consistent until the ASV, where it gets rocked for the rest of the match.

Surprised that nobody mentioned that Halo and KOTOR got 1st and 2nd in the U.S. XBox land! Nobody mentioned that Prime beat Vice City in America either!

Doubt it. That match was close enough that running it a few months later could've gotten a different result (although with all the TP hype back then, it probably would've been the same). I think FF would be with relatively little trouble nowadays, maybe something like 53/47. 2k6 was Nintendo zone.

Seriously, Zelda had to have won on OoT, LTTP, and then TP hype. It seems like FFVI, FFVII, FFVIII, and FFX would rock everything else in the Zelda series, and those four could give TP a fight or beat it, too.

Final Fantasy probably wins that poll. Something I'm curious about is whether it has as high a percentage of voters who think it is the best series ever as Zelda. The day after the contest, Zelda put up a staggering 40% in that poll (and we thought FFVII's 24% was impressive). That implies that FF already blew Zelda out of the water among people who don't have Zelda as their #1 series. Does FF also have around 40% of the site backing it as best series, meaning that 80% of the site has either one of them as their #1?

Give me FFIX over MM and WW. I'll say that WW isn't doing too badly today though, in light of how badly everyone else from its half of the division has done, and that SSBM is its worst possible non-Zelda opponent.
