Check "My Games" For both Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3. Even if you
count all 3 versions of Starcraft 2, it comes no where near Diablo 3 in
terms of "Plan to get" This is a bit of a break from talking about the contest, but whatever... I didn't mean on GameFAQs, I meant more generally on fansites for either, on Blizzard's forums, etc.; basically how active they are. I don't really see much of a difference. The crazy fans (e.g. me) post, or at least lurk, and the people who are skeptical or don't much care (e.g. you, or possibly 'kash) aren't interested in the speculation game and are content to wait until you have a demo / beta. And it has been two years since the announcement of SCII, with only about, oh, a little over an hour of footage (two 20 minute "battle reports," a 20 minute unveiling video for Protoss, 10 minute unveiling video for Terran, a short 2 - 3 minute video unveiling the Zerg, and that's essentially it. Most of the new information is not posted on the main website, for whatever reason, but on Battle.net, under the forums. There's not much reason for there to be a lot of hype right now. Also, 'kash - C&C? I've never heard that complaint. Trilogy complaints, yes, but nothing about it looking / playing like C&C. As for the discussion about whether Diablo II is stronger or not - well, there's certainly a good argument for it on GameFAQs. Diablo II is probably around the same sales numbers (~18.5 million for the Diablo series; about 11 million for StarCraft / StarCraft: Brood War), and one would think that a PC Action-RPG would be more up the alley of this site than a PC RTS), so ... we'll see. --- "Luxe, calme et volupte." - Charles Baudelaire, The Invitation to the Voyage |

Plus if you don't believe Hogger was heavily rallied, just look at the
graph for that match. He was all over the place; obvious signs of

I'm still skeptical on 1k, but it's a full day's rally and I don't want
to argue on something we have no information on. btw can you answer the

Man, I wished FFIX and FFVIII had been switched in the brackets. Seeing

[BT] Which comes back to my point I've made countless times that
games released near the end of the year, closer to the polls will
always do much better relative to what they should. [Dranze] Which doesn't say much for KH2 if it lost to a game that got 30% on Zelda in its best time. On top of that, FF12 didn't beat Gears by that much. Then there's also this poll: http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2384 Basically, Hogger is a generic enemy from WoW (think Zolomy from FF7 and then how he did). Hogger didn't have to answer to Cloud. Honestly, Hogger woulda gotten single digits there without rallying. The idea of Hogger rallying 9,000+ votes -- 40.5% of its total strength shown -- not just 6,000-8,000 like you said, is foolish. than he did in R1 despite rallying so strong in R1 that Hogger deserved
single digits. Battletoads did 2,500 rallied votes, which you said
Hogger "at least" matched in R2...but that still makes it fall quite
short of what it did in R1. Why did Hogger do so much better in R2 than

votes obviously. Without Dante there, I'm sure he would of done about

R1 despite huge rallying? If you want to make the percents equal you have to remove 2400 votes from Hogger. Charmander's explanation makes more sense, but that first requires my
trust Hogger rallied that many votes in the first place, and I don't

I believe that WoW can be more effective rally wise then Hogger for 2 big reasons; -Hogger only appeals to Alliance players. Let us please talk about something besides how WoW is going to fail - how's about Ocarina/FFVII? 50.00% Final Fantasy VII 29.98% Mario Kart 64 20.86% Star Fox 64 50.00% Ocarina of Time 28.65% Final Fantasy IX 21.59% Half-Life I'm thinking FFIX > MK64, so Ocarina looks good enough to beat FFVII one on one to me. It's not doing well enough for me to take Ocarina with LttP in the poll, but this is a pretty impressive performance. Seeing FFIX beating Starcraft after dealing with what would've been some Starcraft>Soul Calibur upset talk would've been glorious. Then you'd know how I felt yesterday! Like I said, that was the happiest I've been about a poll result in a long time. As far as what OoT is doing today, I said in my write-up that it's difficult to peg what it was going to do today, and it could even outdo FFVII here today and I wouldn't change my stance on FFVII > OoT. I still feel that OOT is better for blowouts than FF7. I'll judge OOT
