Is there any reason to leave Halo out of the top 10 discussion? If
the four-way setup can make Master Chief formidable, I don't see why it

Why do people tier Melee with the other super six? It was a couple of
percent below SMB3 and FFVI and if anything Melee was bandwagoned when
it lost to FFVII. Of course Melee has gone up since 2004 and can
probably go toe for toe with the others. As for top 10... Final Fantasy VII LoZ: Ocarina of Time LoZ: A Link to the Past Chrono Trigger Super Mario Bros. 3 Final Fantasy VI Super Smash Bros. Melee Final Fantasy X Then we have Metal Gear Solid, Pokemon RBY, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario 64, Super Mario World, Starcraft, Diablo II, World of Warcraft, and Resident Evil 4 fighting for the last two spots. I'm going to update the MGS/GE/SM64-comparisons from the other day and
couple in all of their opponents from this contest. Here are the

Between the Nintendo Boost we saw afterward, the massive hype for SSBB, seeing SSB doing as well as it did against SMB3 (though SSBB-hype played a part in that), being essentially a launch game that was very well-received, landing #6 on the Top 100 List, and winning that crazy 128-Division, I think SSBM's earned a spot with the rest of those games as among the best here. I hardly ever visit these forums but seriously how the heck is it
possible that deus ex, one of the deepest and most excellently balanced
both in terms of storyline and gameplay.. has such a low score. Oh wait
i know.. this site is being spambotted by 4chan asshat nolifes and
ignorant children who have only heard of metlah geah furr for the ps3.
Therefore vote metal gear cause honestly now.. metal gear 1 was utter
boredom. It was way to short, corny and way to easy. Deus ex on the
other hand had you thinking and even had a decent customization feature
for its age. Final fantasy tactics is laughable aswell but the biggest insult is that bunch of boring milktruck of a series pokemon, how can anyone find the pokemon games good for the love of ..man.. Its the same thing over and over and over again, for every battle for every game. The only thing that changed in the games are the drawings and the name of the titpuppets you catch. And the color of the games casing. WOOHOO its almost like voting for obama wooooo!! chaaange!! we got chaaange! RED TO BLUE OH WOW NOW ITS CRYSTAL OOOH ITS POKEMOEN CHRYSTOOOALLLL!!!! mfffff!! No im not getting angry over a stupid poll, i am getting dissapointed in the gamer community for not knowing their best games. The way i see this poll is not a matter of opinion but a test. The poll shouldnt be 'what is the best game' but 'what do you know about what the best game is' :l Instead, it just circles around the hype like usual. A few big names of games that werent good to begin with but have been thrown at your memory section (of your brain yes) for over a indescribable amount of times so you would buy the game in the first place and now can vote on it like a good little slave of commerce. Good job hanky panky shanky flanky icebear cranky owly kitty monkey pumpkinbeetle. Oh and while im posting anyway... why the heck was suikoden 1 in the polls but not suikoden 2??? If there is any game worthy of the best game ever title suikoden 2 definately deserves. Anyway, have a nice day im not here to 'converse' about meaningless things i just had to state my thoughts on the appropriate location wich is here. (or else my thoughts would materialise into folklore and force the oblivion upon us all) And dont make me into some internet hero, im not your hero im just a guy. |

No game was hyped up more then Halo 3 either. Last year proved this. To be fair, it's not like the characters that MC failed to impress against didn't have major new titles of their own supporting them. That's not to say that I'd put DMC4 on par with Halo 3 in terms of impact, but MC's opponents had just as much reason as he did to stay relevant, or to become more so than they were previously. Games from the 128-bit division I would've taken over Halo in 2004 after the contest was over. SSBM FFX LoZ: WW Starcraft Maybe GTA: Vice City Heads up? Sure, I wouldn't argue against the first four. But in this format, the gap between them and Halo should by no means be considered insurmountable. |

This site hates PC games besides anything made from Blizzard and Valve, kind of sad, but that's the breaks. Oh and while im posting anyway... why the heck was suikoden 1 in the polls but not suikoden 2??? If there is any game worthy of the best game ever title suikoden 2 definately deserves. Each division designates three years of gaming (except the first), so the top 16 games of each "generation" makes it. Yeah, this is mainly a console-based site (aside from some big
exceptions like Pokemon and Valve/Blizzard-games). Suikoden 2 was in
the 2004 BGE though, and Deus Ex also had JC Denton in the 2004

Wow these forums are live. Ohwell back to playing a ossom game called
folklore. Mnyehhh!! (it has quite manly animalesque things who look
like silly but also a little bit happy.) You people should also start the new words btw, from now on no more play but say plah. It sounds more like what you are doing anyway. Yea sorry for the very little bit offtopic, but ohwell.. i wonder if folklore is in this poll somewhere at all.. so far the game is excellent but to avoid people being a smartass and spoiling the ending now that everyone knows im playing this game im not gonna look on you peoples responses untill i finished it whole ololo. say what you want about characters not being equal to games, but Chief
lost updates to Raiden and Kain after beating Luigi and Ganondorf the
year prior. I have a hard time expecting Halo to be as good now as it

tomorrow's make or break for my bracket. if starcraft can't break 40k

for its age. Deus Ex is a very respectable game... I can't properly judge it since I got a copy only after seeing this game as a nominee in the BGE contest... I've beaten the game but I don't think it's better than Metal Gear Solid or Final Fantasy Tactics. It's way better than Pokemon though... and I agree games like these deserve more credibility in contests. But seriously Metal Gear Solid especially the original is a Top 5 game IMO... Amazing story, Classy characters, The Best Boss fights and freaking incredible replay value. If you don't like or haven't experienced this game enough... trust me mate you have missed out a LOT Final fantasy tactics is laughable aswell but the biggest insult is that bunch of boring milktruck of a series pokemon, how can anyone find the pokemon games good for the love of ..man.. I mean come on FF8 sweating CT while easily killing Suikoden 2... Suikoden 2 is like 5 times better than Chrono Trigger And dont make me into some internet hero, im not your hero im just a guy. Hmm.....if you set Final Fantasy Tactics = Majora's Mask, RBY is
projected to get 52% on MGS. If they're that close, MGS should win
easily after the triple LFF. So what do people think about MM vs. FFT

Why not a HL2 picture? It's the same Gordon in the same suit, only in a
higher resolution. Also, I think the official Half-Life box art had

Considering he rejected like 4 improved REmake pics, I think Bacon
