I wonder at what point GameFAQs decided to love Pokemon. This big of a
difference in performance can't be chalked up to simple anti-voting --- A refusal of praise is a desire to be praised twice. |

I'm not confident in RBY beating MGS in Round 2 with GSC and MM there.

FF7Cloud_Strife, Spekku and RedWingDuck did not have Pokemon RBY >
Zelda:MM as yesterday's winners. 13 people survived despite scoring half points. NeuroticDogg, LJBad89, Agumen, Ludwig_Von_2, futurehobo300, Airan_Jo, Gridogn, thedragon31, Henry2903, mysterio400, ShadowHog, Phazon_Chaos and JohnnyPolo also did not have Pokemon RBY > Zelda:MM as yesterday's winners. 2 people scored a single point and survived. Majora's Mask still got nearly doubled by RBY and I'd still take FFT
over it. I'm not sure what that means with respect to expectations but

What's that mean? People were trying to rationalize Zelda's loss? All of the Pokemon nerds that were like 7 when it first came out are now in their late teens/early 20's and fall victim to nostalgia. G/S/C's the only Nintendo game here. It certainly has a reason to look

You know what would be just perfect, though? RBY and GSC SFF each other allowing MGS and Majora's Mask to slip through. Majora's Mask and Ocarina SFF each other allowing MGS and Starcraft to slip through. Here's a thought: Pokemon is getting something like 15% less today (out
of the total vote). The set of people who vote day-to-day is probably
fairly constant, so these voters are distributed among the other three
games (as opposed to not voting at all). What portion of this 15% is
going towards MGS? Maybe 8% of all voters? My point is, what is the mindset of a voter who voted RBY yesterday and MGS over GS today, but will vote RBY over MGS in the next round? Is it realistic to think that a sizable portion of the MGS voters will do this? --- Be a good little washing machine, now... o_0 The Ohio State University: We are so much better than m*ch!g@n. |

Yeah, MGS is definitely going to have too large a lead for even GSC to
overcome at this rate, but damn if this isn't an impressive showing by

Franchise voting exists for the older games, where a significant
portion of the voters have either not played or don't remember any of
the games well. At this point in the contest though, I would think most
voters would have actually enjoyed playing one of them. --- FastFalcon and Solid Snake snapped my neck in the guru contest. |
