Have you never seen the RBY box arts tranny? They are seared into my
memory. Hell I loved that game so much I read the ****ing MANUAL at
least 20 times cover to cover. Damn I loved that game. Now I'm not sure if I really want Portal over RBY for my 2nd favourite game. --- Don't know. |

The next match could go either way. Pokemon R/B/Y is the most popular
handheld game ever, and kick-started the biggest video game related fad
in recent history. Zelda: MM is Zelda, and is on the same console as
OoT so it should regain most of those fans. I'm hoping Pokemon wins because I find it the better game, but I wouldn't be surprised if MM won. --- Good Times, Great Memories |

Well it's not like I'd take RBY over FF6. I just don't think that's
quite out of the realm of possibility- the probability of RBY being

As far as sales go, the last time I saw (a couple years ago at least), it went something like: 1. Mario ~250 million 2. Pokemon ~115 million 3. Final Fantasy ~60 million 4. Zelda ~55 million Those numbers are probably off, but they convey the right picture- Mario and Pokemon are worlds ahead of everything else as far as sales go. --- Link he come to town to win the Gamefaqs Contests. |

Not neccessarily the most profitable, Halo kicks it's ass as far as that's concerned due to sales, but outside of the games themselves, I have no doubt whatsoever, the only competition is Mario. Mario is probably the biggest, followed by Pokemon. I put recent because I didn't really want to get into an argument about what franchise created the biggest fad following, but just wanted to make it clear that Pokemon R/B/Y is huge worldwide. As for actual strength here, Pikachu really surprised the hell out of me in the last couple of four ways, and he's a relatively hated Pokemon. I'm expecting sort of a FF6 thing here, where the game is much, much more popular then any single entity. --- Good Times, Great Memories |

I seriously doubt that. Does that include Mario spinoff games like
Kart, Party, Tennis, Golf, etc.? If it's only the mainline games I

CT dropping below 57% isn't very important most people predicted sub 50%.this is a huge overperformace nonetheless. |
