All the Mario/Crono matches were before the time change to midnight,
and Mario won the board vote in 2005 by the way. With a 3 AM start
time, Crono had very little time to improve with the night vote before
Europe hit. As for Crono/Bowser, that proves my point completely. Crono went up from around 60% with the power hour to over 62% overnight before falling back down. The fact that he lost the day vote horribly doesn't mean that the power hour was his best time. --- Link he come to town to win the Gamefaqs Contests. |

Besides, trends may have changed now that CTDS has come out, and from
year-to-year variation, and it looks like they have (CT has never
looked like FFVII in the opening before) and the best evidence for
whether Crono rises or falls after the power hour in this match would
be the actual data for this match. So, let's see, CT got: Power Hour: 54.33% First 50 Minutes of 2nd Hour: 57.15% How CT does with Europe and the day vote remains to be seen, but it's pretty clear it's doing better with the night here than the power hour. --- Link he come to town to win the Gamefaqs Contests. |

I think Chrono Trigger's boost will go strong for at least two years.
The more new gamers that are exposed to the DS remake/port over time
will only further this. Not sure where ol' Crono will go after that

CT can end this above 55% this is kind of a huge overperformance.i looked at the oracle and most people actually had CT under 50%. |

Lufia got me interested in the other bad performances so far. I don't
know if this was discussed before, but how the hell did Prince of
Persia end up having the worst percentage so far? You think the series recognition would have atleast had it do better than it do. I mean Crystalis got a better percentage and I say the competition was similar in two matches. --- --NL-- |

So...about tomorrow. Perfect Dark>Pokemon = BIG mistake? That's the first of my pick so far that I'm starting to question even before the match. Right now, Zelda:MM>Pokemon makes more sense to me, or maybe Pokemon>Zelda:MM. So, who thinks PD got a shot in this match? |

Either voters saw the difference between old school PoP and the new
games, the Prince of Persia isn't all that well-liked on this site, or
a little from both A and B. Crystalis at least enough rabid fans to

earthbound is getting murdered in this deep night vote and at 3:00 CT got much stronger and has been pulling consistent 60% updates. |

Franchise/name recognition would typically save some kind of face. But
evidently, no one cares about the original Prince of Persia. I read a
few posts from fans of the series/later games who even said they hated
it it. And overall, its just not as relevant a series on GameFAQs
anymore. The Prince of Persia (character) has only been in two
un-winnable matches to date and as time goes on he's only going to

Looks like Yoshi's Island is starting to really put some distance
between it and Earthbound. Still, it won't end up looking much stronger
than 2K4 Doom, and that's assuming Earthbound stayed constant and that
neither CT nor YI are SFFing Earthbound. It's really, really hard to
buy all three scenarios, which makes YI continue to look nice and

Heh, looks like this was more Yoshi's Island sucking than Earthbound

Heh. In light of this, I'd take Mario 2 to beat Yoshi's Island. It
wouldn't be struggling with frigging EARTHBOUND, of all games. I'll say

Maybe it could. Maybe it won't. After seeing Castlevania and Goldeneye,
my opinion on their strengths possibly being lower than I thought in
2004 and Secret of Mana being SFF'd that much makes Pokemon seem easy

Ha, CT didn't lose any ground with the Europe vote! Now let's see it do
the same with the day vote. Meanwhile, YI doesn't look so pathetic
anymore now that Earthbound has collapsed- YI is up to 58.63% on EB
now, ahead of Doom, and it should continue gaining on it for pretty
much the rest of the poll. I told you guys CTDS was going to create a
