I really wouldn't say FF6 tanked. MMX and LA are both wildcards and have reasons to do good. --- Donkey Kong Country 2's path to Best Game Ever '09. Not even 10%? What is wrong with you people? At least SMRPG and Goldeneye moved on. |

This is a GREAT performance by Chrono Trigger. Between it and EB doing
so well, I can't complain about this match at all no matter who gets
second place. And even then, I spent nearly 4 years writing a guide for
Yoshi's Island. And from what I've heard, I'd love Lufia 2. Long story short, my favorite poll so far regardless of results. I really wouldn't say FF6 tanked. MMX and LA are both wildcards and have reasons to do good. I wouldn't say it tanked necessarily, but it's hard to argue that it hasn't dropped since 2k4. 40% on LA and MMX doesn't scream the same 47% it put on LTTP, at least not to me. Agreed with HM - YI looks worse than 2k4 Doom at the moment wrt
EarthBound, but at least CT is grabbing a good percentage and steadily
increasing, unlike little brother FFVI. I'm going to wait a while
before making any observations about SM64/CT with FFVII in the match,

I have a hard time taking anything from that FF6 match. Both MMX and LA
were unknowns with reason to be decently strong. It definitely isn't at

Obvious favourite, 2 board favourites and an obscure piece of crap to
soak up Board interest etc. It will be back to having a killer board

CT's morning vote won't be nearly as bad with the DS remake, and the competition here. It should have a bad morning vote, but shouldn't be as bad had there been no DS remake. SMRPG did bad in Europe despite a VC release. Given CT's weak competition, the Geolocation stats on this match might not be that accurate of how much CTDS has improved CT's European vote. Not only that, but CT has never been all that great with the board
vote. Crono lost it to Mario every time but 2004 I think, and really
more often than not, the trend has been for it to rise through the
first hour and a half of the poll or so, then level off, and then start
dropping. It's never risen like this though. This is......this is

Nah, LttP is definitely stronger than CT nowadays, and even if there
isn't much LFF there it would still be enough to swing the 400 votes or
whatever it was last time. I've pretty much given up on LttP >
FFVII, though, both because we haven't seen much LFF (certainly not
where it hurts the stronger game, at least), and because I don't think

that's so lopsided that CT can't do much even if it were stronger than
LTTP, which I doubt it is. It's doing great here, for sure, but this is
