If your title has a "Final Fantasy, Zelda, or Mario" in the title, you're likely set? I would not say we have enough evidence to claim that DKC2 is weaker
than DKC. Being up against 3 strong games is a lot different than being

FFVIII > MGS I always thought FFVIII/MGS would be like less severe version of FFVII/MGS2 from 2k4, and after seeing how big franchise voting/Square and Nintendo games are, I'm feelin' really good about that happening so long as FFVIII doesn't get held back by FFIX in round 2. --- http://i44.tinypic.com/hwh4yo.gif |

here comes RE2. I figure this'll end somewhere around 36/30/23/11. It should end up above 21. Maybe even 22, but I don't see it getting up to 23. MGS could already be a part of franchise voting, after all. We haven't
seen it in action yet, after all, and I'd be surprised if games

FFIX advances despite Chrono Cross, then Starcraft advances in round 2. Geno pulled the biggest overnight collapse this side of Oregon Trail, so we'll see if SMRPG does likewise. Probably the Mario name can save it from abject humiliation in Europe (Geno was getting around half the percentage in his worst hour in the dead zone that he got in the power hour, IIRC). --- Link he come to town to win the Gamefaqs Contests. |

| Much as I love FF8, I'm not hopeful about it advancing. I mean, its got a big cut on its votes with Xenogears in the same poll, and Starcraft is almost certainly going to take first, so Soul Calibur might just squeeze in as a crappy second place. I hope I'm wrong about it, though. |

SMRPG is going to fall off a ton after this hour, but... So should GoldenEye, as Nintendo games do bad at night.
