And also theres a reason it took 7 contests to get Mewtwo in. He's
not the face of Pokemon, nor a very popular pokemon at all compared to
Pikachu. Pikachu only got into the 2002 contest because Ceej put him there, and only got into 2003 because people remembered him from 2002. Having both pokemon becoming relevant in 4ways and Ramza being LAHARL
strength after being a mid carder in 2003 scares me from putting any

GSC seems like it has the STF between three sony games, and being the
only nintendo game of a very popular franchise, I don't see it not

I'm not saying FFT will fall the same amount of strength as Ramza did.
But its silly to think it'll be the same strength it was in 2004, even

Square in general is a little weaker compared to 2004, but I still
don't see any reason to doubt FFT would place. I could never see G/S

FF8 may have hate, but FF9 has this stingering "released near the end of the console" factor. Being released near a console's lifespan has never really hurt any other games. I mean, look at Chrono Trigger. FF9 was such a departure from the formula FF7 and 8 had that all the new fans of the series were seriously put off by it, and a lot of the old fans just plain hated the cartoonish childishness of the game. lol ff9 --- Like Darth Maul, the bastard child of Michael Flatley and Hellboy. -trancer1 |

Pokemon GSC > FFT is pretty obvious to me. Pokemon is so much stronger right now than in 2004, and it just keeps getting stronger. Who would you think would win? Final Fantasy Tactics vs. Super Metroid After seeing Super Metroid struggle against Super Mario Kart? There's no reason Final Fantasy Tactics can't win that. Not sure who I'd pick though. Stop bringing up Ramza as if he's indicative of FFT's strength. I could
bust out the Metroid/Kirby match and say Kirby's turbo fodder. Also, Super Metroid bombing doesn't really make that Pokemon/Metroid match look that impressive nowadays anyway. I think Pokemon's performance there is being way overrated just because we didn't expect it. Seeing Ramza go from 43% on Kirby to losing to Hogger suggests to me that the percentage of people who played FFT has gone down dramatically. Which means the only argument for FFT is franchise voting. And thanks for providing the two polls. We have 2 FF games scoring 5.5 and 11.25, respectively.
