Mega Man does well during the day, it's just that horrible morning vote
that will hold it back. What DKC did yesterday is what MMX will do.
It's just that LA should have a stronger day and a weaker night than

Uhhh guys, I don't know if you just hate Link's Awakening or what,
but I really think there's more to that game than just the franchise
name. This doesn't suggest that "OoT wins" (or even has a better chance

Well I said either LA bombs or it goes to the division final! I really
should have went ahead and taken LA, but I really wanted to see Sonic 2
go up against MMX and I put that in my bracket, even though I was fully
prepared for LA to do what its doing today. Ah well. Just have to hope

Seriously, you think the Wii is worse than ET, or the CDi, or the
Game.Com? The Wii is an alternative gaming system, a compliment to a

There's no other option except for Nintendo to do well during its best eras -- there's not many options that aren't Nintendo back during the NES and SNES, a few notable Square titles aside. You'll see them get progressively weaker the further we go. --- http://i41.tinypic.com/zk6ct3.gif |

I think FFVI goes into the divisional finals as a huge favorite. LA
looks safe to get there, and LttP will drag a third pure Nintendo game

FFVI currently has 55.37% on Link's Awakening. That's about what SMW
got on FF1, so what do you think of FF1 vs. LA? If you think they're
fairly close, then if/once FFVI rises away from Zelda it'll look
decently stronger than SMW, which meets my expectations at least. FFVI
is at 58.66% on MMX, but that will rise a lot. By comparison, FFIV got
58.94% on MM3, which should be substantially weaker. So if FFVI can
rise into the low 40s here, it's doing fine. --- Link he come to town to win the Gamefaqs Contests. |

I think SMW/FF6 would be a great match nowadays. People are basing
their expectations on 2004, and that's silly and unrealistic. I would

I wouldn't count MMX out, here. These updates are far too jumpy for me
to think it's dead. 70 vote obliteration to 10 vote stall-- if the
stalls are the realistic trend Mega Man X might have a chance. --- So I lost a bet to creativename (yeah...hardly shocking). Like usual, I should've known better! FACT: Halo 3 was 1000% responsible for Master Chief's boost. |

Nah, the only thing people whined about was a Cloud/Sephiroth final.
Board 8 has hated FFVII for as long as I've been here (apparently, the
board liked it in 2002, so I don't know what changed over the course of
a year). The main thing about Cloud > Link is that people were
delusional about Link's invincibility. Even after Cloud goes out and
stinkin' doubles Sonic the Hedgehog, there were plenty who still
