Sonic's on a mission to prove the 2003 x-stats right by losing to
Magus. His problem these past 6 years is that Magus has been determined
to prove them wrong, but Sonic will show Magus yet who can fall harder! --- Link he come to town to win the Gamefaqs Contests. |

Which of these characters would you take over Sonic, April 2009 Edition! Vincent Squall Auron Tifa Sora Ganondorf Kirby Bowser Yoshi Luigi Zack Sora strikes me as too much of a gamble, and I kinda want to take a chance on Kirby (apart from actually giving Sonic a pretty fair loss, he seems like he's made to knock someone like Sonic out), but I'm not sure. this match is going to be really close - I'm predicting Super Metroid
to win the night, Mario to win the morning, and for it to be pretty
close in the daytime. I'll give an ever-so-slight edge to Super Metroid

Wow, Sonic is getting really humiliated here. If Mega Man is just as
much an adopted Nintendo child (no reason to believe he isn't), then
MMX has to go in as a big underdog. FF3 will be eating up the largest
portion of the votes, and it'll be fighting against another proper
Nintendo game for second. I'm sure the match itself will still get
argued, but I don't see how anyone can argue that MMX looks worse now

I don't think there's going to be much movement in the day here. I
agree with tranny that SMK can probably win the morning just based on
being associated with Mario, but I don't think the ASV really favours
one over the other. Even against somebody fairly day oriented - the rat
- Samus didn't budge, and against the man in red himself the two were

Man SF2 must really suck now. I wonder if it could even get 30% on SMRPG. SF2's performance makes me sad, but there's no way it lost that much strength (didn't it get 44% in 2004? That'd be an insane drop). I still can't believe Sonic 3 is getting beaten this badly, especially
after what Sonic 1 did. I guess Sonic being affected by Nintendo goes
well outside of SMW...it helps explain Link/Shadow, at least, although
Mario/Shadow remains forever weird. Still, Sonic 3 should have
benefited from this situation and SM/SMK aren't exactly the pillars of
Nintendo (though undoubtedly big). Can't wait to see Sonic 2
before-n-afters with LoZ:LA..... --- Prototype Shorthand, do you speak it?! |

I wouldn't be too surprised if FFIV, or FF1, managed to pull first in
that one, but I think the most likely result is SMB3 in first and FF in
second. I think it'll be one of the two results either way. Can't say
see two Mario games advancing there -- SMW isn't that much stronger

have we really seen any overlap in this contest? I guess Sonic is the
best example, but I don't think that's overlap as much as apathy

I think Duck Hunt would've beaten Ninja Gaiden without Super Mario
