Final Fantasy 1 has a strength of 35.46. Final Fantasy 1 wins with 90.07% of the vote! A win of 60,016 with 74,883 total votes cast. PartOfYourWorld | Posted 4/14/2009 2:18:45 AM | message detail Speaking of which, what do you guys think will be Bacon's annual post-contest joke poll this time around? E.T. vs. Shaq-Fu vs. Superman 64 vs. Big Rigs Do it, Bacon. Salvage this contest! The last 2 bonus matches at the end of the contest had the winner actually in the poll. L-Block for 2007 character battle bonus match and Link (as Classic Link) for the last character battle. So if FFVII wins, wouldn't it be right to have it in the poll and see how much it destroys its competition? One of those 4 games would have to be replaced with FFVII (if it wins). So is FF4's golden run to the semi-finals still looking good? Mega Man 3 needs FF1 to help bridge this gap of approx. 15% next round, but it will likely be SFFed by Super Mario World itself as well. Personally I think FF4 is going to do it especially with a better picture next round (DS Rydia front and centre please). |

Reading through this topic just now was hilarious. Everybody and their
mother is trashing FFIV and it still goes and gets 50%. Question: How
exactly is FFIV being accused of getting franchise votes while FF1
avoids this? That makes no sense. Since when did FF1 become a beacon of
power? I see no indications that would lead me to believe that FFIV
wouldn't have done the same things in FF1's place. --- Proud Supporter of Zero |

The n00b Avenger | Posted 4/14/2009 6:16:58 AM | message detail |
I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks FF1's power is anything
but franchise leaching. I think the logic is.. maybe the 4 in the
number makes it harder to get franchise voters rather than just being
listed as "Final Fantasy" and as a result, FF1 is stronger due to more
franchise vote power? I don't know the logic. --- A refusal of praise is a desire to be praised twice. |
