the other two games are weak as hell. SF2's doing what you'd expect of a mid-tier game -- Sonic's just a wee bit better. again, this is franchise voting at its finest. when you put Mario and Sonic together next round, you're gonna see SF2 benefit. --- xyzzy |

Either way, I think this puts the "Sonic sucks due to the format, not
his arsenal of ****y games" argument to rest. Which is great, because I

Why the **** did Castlevania do so well in the Series Contest? Other
than Alucard/SoTN it has bombed at every available opportunity! Collective power maybe? Having a game on almost every system must have added up for the win. |

pre-SOTN Castlevania is weak here. Castlevania just didn't exist to
this site until SOTN. I'd take all the DS games over Castlevania 3,
probably. I mean, shouldn't Simon Belmont getting killed have sent the message loud and clear? and that's Castlevania 1, not 3 - you know, the more popular of the two games. --- xyzzy |

Horrible for CV III. Looks like the NES CV games have no strength. OK for SFII, but real good for Sonic so far. Too early to call though. Sonic 1 was a fantastically fun though, and SFII as well - but I voted for Civ 1 here, I probably played that game for more hours than any other. --- Save_Us.RAT BREAK THE BLOCK DOWN |
