and SSF2T is HARDLY a clone. Its more of a different game then alot of the games in the same series in this contest. It had more then twice the characters, a new engine, new moves, super bars, twice the levels... That is a bit of a good sign for Street Figher game. Two verisions of the same game making the bracket! Talk about overcoming LFF. simcity is way stronger then Civilization, btw. I would've thought Civ was stronger. It's at least vaguely relevant today. --- Save_Us.RAT BREAK THE BLOCK DOWN |

| I know games =/= characters, but how many of you guys with SF2 > Sonic would consider taking Ryu > Sonic in a 4-way match? I mean, pretty much everybody who would vote for Street Fighter would vote for Ryu, and Sonic just keeps disappointing every year. |

Sonic would consider taking Ryu > Sonic in a 4-way match? I mean,

Its kinda a joke to have MM2 and 3 both in the contest but SSF2T isn't allowed along with SF2 >_> They had to please everyone that believed Mega Man games were just as strong as the character. Even the graphics were redone over the installments as you can see Ryu

True but your assuming that ssft2 could have taken mm3s place. There was not a Mortal Kombat in the contest yet. I say thats fair enough. Now might there have been another game to put in instead of MM3. Maybe. But mega seems powerful enough on paper. More powerful at least than Dragon Warrior III is showing to be at the moment. Plus, you know darn well there wouldn't a be a lot of difference in performance between the two. So chill. |

Round 1 - Division 2: Match 1 Castlevania III Should be fairly weak, but not as weak as some of the other stuff we've seen. Civilization Shoe-in for last, lol turbofodder Sonic the Hedgehog Probably the weakest Sonic in the bracket, shouldn't have trouble advancing Street Fighter II This version doesn't have Cammy? No Cammy, no dice! Analysis: There's been a little bit of discussion on this match over the last few days, but I don't see a justification for it. Street Fighter 2 was close to Sonic 2 in the 2004 X-stats, and since then, Street Fighter has had a resurgance in popularity while Sonic characters have taken a complete nosedive. The Street Fighter HD Remix and Street Fighter 4's recent release would give me confidence to take Street Fighter 2 over Sonic 2, and I would imagine Sonic 2 is a good bit stronger than the original. TuRtLe's Prediction: Street Fighter 2 35%, Sonic 31%, Castlevania III 21%, Civilization 13% TuRtLe's Bracket: Street Fighter 2 > Sonic TuRtLe's Vote: Street Fighter I guess --- Like Darth Maul, the bastard child of Michael Flatley and Hellboy. -trancer1 |
