I think Sim City should have that one. I wouldn't expect any sports

I'm curious as to whether Duck Hunt beat Donkey Kong in North America but the Europe vote cost DH the win. I think Donkey Kong is bigger in America than Europe, actually. Duck Hunt should be about equal. So no, I doubt it. --- My nick's Adamant. I have a "no 1" that looks stupid. Would've changed it if I could without losing karma. Psssh, I've still got faith in Doom. DK's still up for two different

I dunno about Sim City being uber fodder as opposed to normal fodder.
Civilization did break 10% on the Legend of Zelda Series, the strongest
force we've ever seen in these contests, and Sim City should be at

Yeah, but I'd think that DKC and DKC 2 would be the strongest entities
of DK we'd see. The games themselves are much more popular than DK and
Diddy as characters... I wouldn't automatically place them as chokers

Island and Tecmo Super Bowl are so incredibly and ridiculously weak. Tecmo Super Bowl will fail for the same reason that Madden did. Being a sports (football) game. Madden got blown out by SMB in the Series Contest and now the best game in that series will get to beat down another football game. But apparently it was packaged in with the NES in Europe too, or we've heard. Correct. Duck Hunt was a major game in the NES age worldwide. As for the SMB3 Faction, Sim City should take second. Monkey Island, as awesome as it is, is niche as all hell nowadays, while most everyone knows Sim City, if not the original in particular. Monkey Island VS Tecmo Super Bowl, on the other hand... good question. Niche, but loved game VS loved in America only old sports game - on GameFAQs. Could go either way. --- My nick's Adamant. I'm pretty sure DKC won't be worth much. Eh, there are only 3 DKC games. I wouldn't expect it to hold up in the slightest when you compare it to huge series such as Mario, Sonic, and Mega Man. But anyways, just wondering why I hadn't seen much discussion of DKC at all. Civilization has had major releases in the past few years and is very
highly regarded. Sim City, on the other hand, peaked a considerable

I guess everyone thinks it has no chance to beat Doom? Don't get me wrong; I'd easily take it 1v1, but I saw the second strongest Zelda game, a weak-ish Nintendo game, and an outside game that has a good shot at getting some unique support. Its just that, if its one thing that will always be burned into my head about these contests, its that if the chips are down, don't depend on Donkey Kong anything. Diddy's performance in CB7 only further reinforced this. Link to the Past is going to make the other three games in that match look like...well, pretty much how SMB made DH/Galaga/NJ look, if not worse. Donkey Kong is insanely low in the Nintendo pecking order, whereas we've got an incredibly popular Zelda game in the same match. Oh, SimCity is uberfodder. Who wants to take this to ever win a match?
It could take second there, if only because it's the most well-known
game out of the three, but if Monkey Island keeps a lot of the same
voters who always give Guybrush is 15% that has a decent chance of
taking second. I went with there, just because it's the only thing with
an actual fanbase, but we've seen that proven wrong before (woo DK and

Well, I'd barely consider DKC to beat Doom considerably.
And considering how pathetic DK holds compared to the rest of the
Nintendo franchises (and it is no Metroid), I'm tempted to say the

On second though.. hell, i don't know. Anyone who'd want to vote Monkey
Island in the first place will probably do so. Sim City doesn't have
much of a hardcore fanbase, so I expect SMB3 to eat a lot of it's
