My problem with the plot in Blizzard games is that it requires a bunch
of outside reading to understand it fully. I really shouldn't have to

Woah....whats with all the blizzard bashing? I've found their games to
have some of the richest, most compelling stories and lore of any i've
played. Sorry Ulti, but just because you seem to want everything handed to you on a silver platter rather than actually taking the effort to, you know, read the manual, or heaven forbid, read a book, doesn't mean a games story sucks. Sorry if that comes across as a bit harsh, but so many games nowadays have these ridiculously generic paper thin storylines. The last thing we need is people having a go at one of the few developers who actually put in some effort. --- The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger (AKA FastFalcon) followed. |

it. I play video games to have fun, not as an alternate English class.
I love a good story when it's actually in the game, but Blizzard puts
the bare minimum in their games. You have to go with alternate

I just finished Lunar: SSSC, for instance. There's an example of a

Damn, just got home from work a bit ago to see Mega really sucking.
Wish i woulda stuck with my original Oracle prediction of ~38% for

Has anyone checked out the Geolocation results for yesterday yet? It
appears Punch-Out was a nothing outside of NA. It didn't win by much in
the US or Canada, but lost everywhere else except for some unknown

Yes their games aren't filled with grotesquely long cut scenes exploring everything thats going on in minute detail, but theres a lot happening if your willing to pay attention and pick up on the hints and little details. You seem to be pretty sure about what your saying, but I have no idea where it's coming from. In a long, long time of gaming I have experienced few games with more atmosphere, depth of lore, engaging plot, and genuine sense of place, than those displayed in the majority of Blizzards games. --- The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger (AKA FastFalcon) followed. |
