With all the talk about Mario 1 vs. Zelda 1, I'm surprised nobody has
mentioned what Mega Man 2 being thrown into the mix will do in the
finals. By the way, I seriously doubt Mega Man's success in the series
contest was due to the characters. If the series can beat Mario Kart
handily, I'm pretty sure arguably the most popular game in the series

Mario and Zelda have both proven they can SFF Mega Man at will, so I doubt it matters. Yeah, but if Mario and Zelda don't SFF each other, who does MM2 leech from more? I was more or less mentioning MM2 being thrown in wrecking a potentially close match between Zelda 1 and Mario 1. Plus, Mega Man is no Metroid.
