I'm not sure what to think of Fallout 3. By the time that match comes
around, it will be May, and I can't see Fallout 3 having much staying
power compared to Halo 3. I think it will be a close match in both

except that Secret of Mana is probably the third most popular rpg by Square on SNES If you discount SMRPG, then that's true - but you forgot the words "extremely distant". If you discount SMRPG, then that's true - but you forgot the words "extremely distant". Also, if you consider CT/SoM to be SFF, then you must also consider
SMW/Sonic 2 to be SFF, meaning your "43% on Sonic 2" is much less

And for the record, I would take FF4/6/Mystic Quest/Chrono
Trigger/SMRPG over SoM. Making it the 5th most popular Square RPG out

Secret of Mana wins with 89.65% of the vote! I wouldn't. If there's one thing that wouldn't get franchise votes,
it's Mystic Quest. Secret of Mana can at least say it's a well received

Actually, Secret of Mana advancing isn't too out there. If the stronger
of Mortal Kombat 2/Sonic 2 Genesis-buries the other, I could see it
happening maybe/kinda/sorta. Sonic's games never seemed to be worth

Makin' a case for EarthBound: Chrono Trigger smashes that poll to the tune of 50%, maybe higher. Lufia II is augh, but can probably muster up 10% or a little less. That leaves 40% for EarthBound and Yoshi's Island. YI is not a popular Mario game by any measure...with so little to go around, EarthBound's fanbase could pull through so long as they aren't distracted overmuch by Chrono Trigger. Actually, I agree. Using Ness and Lucas as EB = barometers is a
horrible idea. Smash Bros. fans recognize Ness and Lucas, but they
don't have a clue what Earthbound is. Let's face it, there's a reason
why Ness performs like absolute crap when faced with Nintendo
