FFT won last time, and has since had a remake. In 2004, MGS was fresh off of MGS3 and TTS. Seems like an easy choice to me. Wait, what? Did this seriously happen? I think I may have missed the greatest day of my life. --- Used to be HydraCores. Also, which one of you guys put phallic images on my site :(. |

Actually to add insult to MGS/FFT there was never a fifteen minute

Difference from 2004 to 2009 from MGS's perspective: In 2004 ---> Solid Snake barely beat Frog. In 2009 ---> Solid Snake beat Cloud for forty-eight hours straight. Difference from 2004 to 2009 from FFT's perspective: In 2004 ---> Ramza got ~42% on Kirby. In 2009 ---> Ramza was beaten by Hogger and barely beat Laharl, and those three combined couldn't beat Dante. MGS beat FFT in 2004, too (and I forgot FFT never even led). You don't have to know a whole lot more than that for their 2009-rematch(es). --- Prototype Shorthand, do you speak it?! |

I'll also say it's great to see BT over-estimate Mega Man again while
under-estimating MGS again...especially since he's not waiting on the

One of the matches I'm still worried about is Castlevania and Resident Evil. If I look at this poll correctly, if there are that many RE fans, and if Castlevania has dropped that much since 2004, hardcore franchise voting is enough to make it pull through. If you want to talk about hardcore, C:SotN did a killer job in the Top
100 List -- it got #15 before it got its Xbox Live Arcade release,
right behind RE4 (Gamecube-only at the time). Compare that to RE's #53.
Also, stat-wise, Castlevania wasn't far behind RE in the Series
Contest, and C:SotN is pretty much the RE4 of its series. I can buy it being closer than people think, especially if the FF7/MGS/RE non-sense from 2004 happened for a reason. That said...I don't like that upset. --- Prototype Shorthand, do you speak it?! |

My Games trends towards new games HEAVILY, and World of Warcraft is
still modern. so while I think WOW has a shot in every match it's in,
