Can DW3 beat Contra? It did only beat Phantasy Star 60-40. If DW3 does
better it can at least mean a decent match. I'll probably go with
Contra though --- A refusal of praise is a desire to be praised twice. |

The Starcraft II beta has a good chance of being out, for whatever it's
worth. I think the original will do well in this bracket (my initial
bracket has it in the finals, but that's my fanboy side speaking), but
I wouldn't put it over Ocarina either way. --- Better to ask than to speculate |

FFVII/LTTP/SMB3/Zelda 1 really interests me. SMB3 ought to be hurt less
by LFF than the Zelda games; on the other hand, I fully expect Zelda 1
to get driven into the ground (less than 5%, probably), so that perhaps
LTTP/SMB3 SFF will be more important here. With that said.....I think

What makes you say that? Blizzard is giving away keys to the top 20 in
each invitational ladder in Warcraft III. That ladder ends in 3 weeks,
which corresponds with the rumor of the beta coming at the same time as
the original game's release date. --- Better to ask than to speculate |

It's either put it in the same division as FF7, or have FF7 and OoT in the same division. Or, you know, not divide by generations this time. And no way does CT lose to SM64 with Goldeneye there. I really doubt it loses even without another Nintendo game there- CT does not fold to FFVII SFF-wise, and the overlap is not that strong to start with. --- Hobbes: What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do? I really don't think that Duck Hunt has a shot at advancing. It would
probably lose 90/10 in a 1 vs. 1 against SMB. Zelda got 87% on DK, and
Duck Hunt has way more reason to be SFFd into the ground by SMB. Galaga
would probably get close to 15% 1 vs 1, not considering what Ninja

Actually, in Quarterfinal #2, it's almost tempting to take the really
shocking upset there. It's almost guaranteed to be LttP/FF3/FF7/CT.
Now, CT held up pretty well against FF7 in the last games contest. Does
FF3 hurt FF7 enough for CT to squeak by? I'm not taking that upset, but
it might be worth considering. --- That... was her final mission. And like a true soldier, she saw it through the end. FastFalcon > me |

So...I've got a bad situation. Since I have LoZ:OoT > Starcraft and
SSBM > D2, I've gotta decide if SSBM can withstand LoZ:OoT better
than Starcraft and D2 can withstand each other. I'm currently working
with SSBM there since Blizzard's smaller and SSBM comes from a
different system and era from LoZ:OoT... ...but what sucks after that is that I ave LoZ:TP > RE4 meeting the winners there, making it LoZ:OoT/SSBM/LoZ:TP/RE4. It feels SO wrong to even consider RE4 > SSBM, but man...I'm thinking about it. Keeping RE4 > LoZ:OoT for now. --- Prototype Shorthand, do you speak it?! |

Considering RE4 couldn't beat TP with a crapload of Nintendo LFF
