great performances. Guess it must be losing votes because it's a port.

Metal Gear Solid 4 was never gonna be close to Brawl anyway. Brawl's
floor was probably Melee in 2004, and there's no way MGS4 is close to
that level. I'm still not convinced it can take down GTAIV. --- FastFalcon owned me in the Guru Contest! |

Okami's doing about what it should. I don't think people should have expected more than 7-8%. NMH can probably grab a lead overnight, but that's about all. kinda disappointing, really. I thought it'd do better. --- xyzzy |

MGS4 will make it a decently close second, but it was never really in
contention for GOTY with Brawl around. The difference in ownership
between the PS3 and Wii pretty much sealed that. It's doing good today,
but this is still some pretty weak competition. Better than MGS4's, for

Smash has the strongest power hour of anything that isn't a joke,
so.....everything but Brawl goes up until morning (until the ASV
starts, really, as Smash doesn't have much of a morning vote despite

Brawl can definitely fall once the Brawl Hour is over, but... what else
are people going to vote for come daytime? Brawl's gonna do great there. overnight it'll suffer, yeah, but it should still finish above 55. --- xyzzy |

Nothing to really say about today and yesterday. GotY will probably go Brawl > MGS4 > WoW > GeoW2 > GTA4 (or whatever wins the multi poll) > CT > CC --- Like Darth Maul, the bastard child of Michael Flatley and Hellboy. -trancer1 |

Brawl isn't doing that great- it got around the same percentage in a
poll of most anticipated games back in 2007 with a much stronger field
(namely Super Mario Galaxy). So Brawl has disappointed relative to its
pre-release hype, but......no one here was expecting to be at the
ridiculous levels of potential strength it showed prior to its release
anymore, so it's doing well relative to our more recent expectations.
As for Brawl/MGS4, Brawl should beat MGS4 easily. If it doesn't, then it's not in the league of CT/LTTP/Melee/SMB3. --- Link he come to town |

Looking at the poll again, it seems Brawl really did lose the board
vote. Badly. And is going up now. Wow. The overall GOTY poll will be
interesting, although I suspect Brawl will easily defeat MGS4 and
