Well I will say that if Albion WASN'T responsible, it makes some of
Arthas' more suspicious spikes and patterns in that match, which Albion
had explained as his rallying, look extra suspicious, which reopens an
entire can of worms. Also there was his otherwise unexplained deboost between rounds one and two. --- Under guru champ, FastFalcon related tyranny since 20/11/08. Mother 3. That is all. |

Arthas didn't underperform by any weird amount or anything. He went
from getting 46% on Pikachu to getting 42% on him, which isn't anything
that crazy. While Arthas probably got a little more rally votes in his
first round match, he was also facing a Pikachu who was being leeched
by a more popular Nintendo entrant than he would be leeched by in the
second round. --- FastFalcon owned me in the Guru Contest! |

Also he is barely even called Arthas in WoW... Theres a couple quest
chains of his past they show and all but if you don't read quest text
(like alot of people don't), they might not even know the Lich Kings
name is Arthas, so they wouldn't know that was him by that second round

entire can of worms. I'm looking at the graph and I see no suspicious spikes done by Arthas and if you didn't know it's quite common for a character to do well one update and fall hard the next. Also just because Albion said an update was because of him doesn't mean it is. Over the matches that Albion had rally for I've seen my share of updates where Albion says "expect character A to win big next update" only for character B to cut/stall. Also there was his otherwise unexplained deboost between rounds one and two. First of all both round one and two had two different Nintendo characters and SFF matches don't work well with expected numbers. Over the matches that Albion had rally for I've seen my share of
updates where Albion says "expect character A to win big next update"

The rallying is very clear-cut and significant in the Hogger match, and
based on the experiment done in the MM/Cube match, it in all likelihood
made the difference there also, though the number of rallied votes was
lower. Arthas won by enough against Ike that I doubt he would have lost
without rallying. Did Albion even rally that much in that one,
considering how far Arthas was ahead? --- Link he come to town |

Persona's numbers aren't that bad. They're pretty normal niche RPG
numbers - 100k-200k. This is mostly talking about Persona 3, though,

Ugh, should have just skipped this poll. Now Persona's hardcore base is
going to get all excited to see it near 50% and rally it into the Game

Actually, Phoenix Wright games sell more than you think. Yes, PW
flopped in the 2005 GotY poll, BUT that was the original which had a
horrible opening three months. After that, thanks to the interweb, the
sales rose significantly. It's also worth mentioning that the game
hadn't been released in Europe at that point. Plus it had some really
good competition, unlike Persona 4. Of course, now the original has some 200, 000 or so copies sold in America, not to mention Europe. And the sequels all outsold it. The sales numbers are nothing to write home about, but good enough to assume a non-fodder showing. The problem is Allen has never put another AA game in a DS poll since. --- Under guru champ, FastFalcon related tyranny since 20/11/08. Mother 3. That is all. |

I know that the first PW's sales more than doubled since 2005, so that
poll isn't really that great of a representation of its strength.
T&T could've looked somewhat not crappy, if it had gotten in
