I disagree about not using the list. 26% of the site having FF7 as
their favorite game is pretty god damn hard to overcome. Granted OoT

I don't see Ocarina beating FF7, but I could possibly see something
else come out of nowhere and pull it off -- World of Warcraft being the
most likely candidate. There are 11 million subscribers. For argument's
sake, we'll assume half of them are very active. That's 5.5 million
people. We've seen how ravenous the Warcraft fanbase is for useless contests, like series contest and the Hogger/Arthas stuff. You think these people wouldn't go nuts for a game contest? Rallying 1% of 5.5 million people is 55000 votes. Half of that 1% is 27500 votes, and this is a high number of people based on a *very* conservative guess. Warcraft and Hogger/Arthas were pretty pathetic rallies, honestly. In
all likelihood, the game itself would be better at it, but don't base

Ulti with my line of thinking. If they care enough to rally for some
crap like hogger (granted 4-ways terrible competition, etc... but the
rallying still happened), I don't want to see what they'll do for the

Well, the most successful Blizzard-based rallies have been Starcraft
and the Warcraft series, each of which were not only the two strongest
Blizzard-entities we've seen but were also often facing opposition that
was commonly hated on. Starcraft beat a Halo game, KH before it became
very accepted, and the LoZ game that really scared fans about the
direction of its series most. The Warcraft series beat the GTA-series
(a series the hardcore in general probably considers the most
unjustifiably popular). When Starcraft faced SSBM, it couldn't win
despite honest cheating. When WoW faced SMB, it was CRUSHED. They will still get rallied against most games, but for it to be particularly effective, Blizzard games need to be set up against a game their fans would be undignified to see their game lose to. I would think they could pull a better rally against FF7 than SF2 in some ways. --- FastFalcon05 absolutely decimated me in the Guru challenge. How bad was it? ...I don't want to talk about it. |

Let's just say I'm not confident. I'm teetering between that and MGS1

i honestly find it fascinating anyone is comparing WoWs strength to
Arthas and Hogger, even after how we saw Kerrigan/Starcraft don't show
the strength of it at all in the past. If Kerrigan blew chunks and
starcraft did so well, and ARthas is the Kerrigan of WoW and is

I don't think you could even say Arthas is to WoW what Kerrigan is to
Starcraft. If anything Kerrigan is a much bigger part of Starcraft than
Arthas is WoW. Arthas might be a bigger part to the Warcraft series as

He's essentially the Kerrigan of Warcraft 3 by being a good guy that turns evil, and is the strongest villain that people tried to stop. WoW would win that easily due to WoW rallying, since stats show only
