For kicks, this would be the third year in a row Link lost to somebody
if Solid wins it all. He lost to L-Block last year and -- you guessed

Huh? There are people thinking Snake will beat Link? There are people on this board who said Link will kill Snake with over 30% on him, and that Snake will come 3rd. Snake has toyed with my mind enough over the past 24 hours, taunting
with every cut he let Cloud get on him, with every update he doesn't
act like L-Block and freefall in percentage, that I no longer have

L-Block's victory was something that was thought of as plausible before the match even started(this is actually a much more surprising result) And L-Block started with like a 15-20% advantage of Link. And Cloud's day vote (or any part of his vote, for that matter) is not as strong as Link's. Yet Cloud still manage to cut into the 600 vote lead. Not to mention that there is there is no FF7 anti-vote here. It is not going to happen. |

Yeah with competition like this Link is going to make the ASV his
*****. Snake's going to need to build one hell of a lead over night to
do that, and these stalls aren't a great indicator. In another hour he
should be able to make some progress but I can hardly think it would be

It's also worth noting nobody is hindering Link's trends here like Seph did Cloud yesterday, either. That said, **** it. Something this unexplainable means all we can do is wait it out and see what goes down. Solid already jumped from barely beating LFF'd-Cloud to barely leading Link by himself in a day's time period. With how crazy this contest has been, why even try to debate it? I'd

Alright, who's ready for some awesome. So let's look at how Snake did on Kirby, vs. how Big Boss did on Kirby. Solid Snake - 57.57% Kirby - 42.43% Big Boss - 56.66% Kirby - 43.34% Which means sans SFF, Snake would beat Big Boss with about 50.46%. Now look at how Snake's doing against Cloud. Solid Snake - 60.29% Cloud Strife - 39.71% Pretty good. This means that Big Boss/Cloud goes about 60/40. So where am I going with this? That's right... Big Boss - 68.49% Raiden - 31.51% Heavily SFF'd Raiden gets within 8.5% of Cloud? It looks like Link's not going to make any real gains until morning. He
and Snake will drop off in percentage overnight while Crono and
especially Cloud gain. Cloud will get his first cut on Link and Snake

Link, those blue "wings" on your Master Sword offer no tactical
advantage, unless you're planning to auction it off as a collector's

Like I pointed out before, from this point on in the 2k6 Cloud/Link match Cloud gained 3% on Link from 43% to 46%. Link's day vote is nice, but his early vote is better. A 60 vote lead on Link and a 600 vote lead on Cloud at this point is very comparable. |

Snake's strength MGS4 boost Brawl Boost most importantly, the boost that comes from people wanting Link to keep the contest fresh. When people see Snake actually haves a chance, they will rally HARD --- My life is a book you read in reverse, so you understand less as the pages go slowly by. | The FFVII day vote hasn't been as great as it used
to be this year, and the FFVII early vote hasn't been quite as bad.
Following 2006 trends, Cloud would have cruised to a 1500+ vote victory

Link's day vote is nice, but his early vote is better. A 60 vote
lead on Link and a 600 vote lead on Cloud at this point is very
comparable. There isn't anything comparable about a 60 vote lead to a 600 vote lead, trends be damned. Snake's early vote was absolutely killer this match - far moreso than it was last round. Link's early vote might be better than Cloud's, but he'll do better during the day, too. There won't be a day of trading updates if the most Snake can muster tonight is a couple hundred vote lead.
